Keeping runners close are not included in a pitch count. Do coaches consider them? Just curious

What's wrong with changing the sport if it's for the better?

My best friend has been an ump and football and basketball official. Got as high as D2 NCAA in hoops years ago. Still does HS football, stats, replay, scoreboard operation, etc.

He’s very reasonable and realistic about the human mistakes that officials make. But he will fully admit they are act as a team and they all take up for each other. It’s just what they do.

Jones still slumping, Milam slumping all season long. We need them to get it going for the postseason.

He got it solidly. Why I was unhappy it was a line out to the track.

Robo Zone wouldn't be that big of a deal if NCAA Baseball wasn't populated with absolute shite Umpires

Nothing he could do there that was a solid hard hit swing straight to someone.

Yes

More than moving the mound, changing the mound's height, changing the construction of the ball, changing what bats are allowed, allowing aluminum bats instead of only wooden bats, adding a DH, allowing instant replay, and challenges?

Baseball is an ever changing game and always has been.

Have you considered the possibility that your predecessors were simply… better? ETA: Not to mention the obvious fact that the technology to automate the calls didn’t exist 200 years ago.

College baseball used to be an afterthought. Looking at the crowd and how many games are on TV and streamed today, it no longer is. There are not enough decent umps outside of the pros who are good enough to man what P5 baseball has become. This is the next league in college baseball and the umps are a joke. They have been called blowing big calls and there are overturns on a regular basis that they should be calling correctly. This is just truth.
