Lael Collins, Russel Shepard, Kevin Toliver

The LB from Michigan? Does gunner Kiel count?

Was one of the Saban LBs (Trev Faulk) rated that high?

Spelling sucks, you said without looking

I would suspect Eric Ellington is up there. Big time recruit in the late 70s out of Cincinnati (Moeller). Turned out to be a dud.

I don’t know if recruiting rankings go back that far… seems like it’s all from the 2000s

Somehow he is only listed as a Sophomore (He played for LSU in 2020)

Back in my day, you had 5 years to play 4, and your clock started when you enrolled in school.

I guess they just make it up as they go now

At best he'd be a 6th year senior under the OG rules with a redshirt year and a medical redshirt year. I don't know how they get sophomore for a guy who first enrolled in school (and thus started his clock) 6 years ago.

I saw Arik play when he was at Marietta High School with BJ Ojulari. They played Hillgrove who had Myles Murphy at the time.

Arik was incredible. He made a downfield catch where he completely laid out and made a fingertip catch that would have been a top 5 play on any Sunday.

He also loned up against and successfully blocked Myles Murphy every time they went head to head.

On the defensive side, he was the DE opposite BJ and he was the better player. BJ was a little light in the arse and got pushed around pretty good that night. Arik made several big defensive plays.

After watching that game, I was super excited he was coming to LSU.

Just a little insight into why he was the Gatorade player of the year and why he deserved his lofty recruitng ranking. Damn shame all of that talent was wasted.

Because if you say the words “mental health” the NCAA cowers, rolls over and reinstates your eligibility.

Schizophrenia manifested is the strong rumor, which is somewhat common at that age for males so it fits/works.

Yes late teens to early 20s is a very normal time for schizophrenia to manifest.
