What has Miles done to make anyone get "back on" his bandwagon?

Win a game against a rebuilding State team at home by 3? lol

He can't win my admiration unless he stays strongly with Etling, as he did with "his boys" (Jefferson and Harris), AND if he keeps his hands off the playbook for the rest of the season.

In other words, the more Miles is out of the offense, the more he can win me back. If not, no way.

You realized he just benched his "boy" Harris, right?

You are comparing Les to Curley is that correct? How many LOSING seasons has Les had here?

where did I compare Curley to Les? You're severely misinterpreting my response to your post which said you would never root against LSU.

I merely gave an example of a horrific coach in the past and asked in you rooted hard for Curley.

Did you?

He is an above mediocre coach. Nothing more, nothing less.He has a team that has almost as much, or more, talented players of any coach in college football. Yet year after year he can not get them to where they need to be. Wake up people.

If he wins out the season and beats Michigan in the championship game. And they can't all be cardiac victories either.

ah yes, the "real fan" argument. I just love that one.

I'll be very honest. If we lose another game or two this year, and our SEC hopes are gone, and the administration might be on the fence about keeping Les, well I think there's a strong argument that a true fan of LSU (not of the coaching staff, but of LSU) would want Les gone. And if another loss or two will help that occur faster, then I don't have a problem with it.

Sometimes you have to cut out the tumor for the patient to recover. Again, short term pain for long term gain.

Now don't misinterpret my position - I'm still excited about our season and we still control our destiny in the SEC, although the Wisky loss means our playoff hopes now have no room for error.

If you include fans of other teams, yes, but only then.

some of these problems remain but this team will be so far out in front of everyone they won't matter. too much talent. too good of a quarterback.
Oh, you're a troll. Sorry that I engaged you.

Hoping we get rid of a coach "because" the team is losing is one thing- actually hoping the team loses so that we can get rid of the coach, there are not enough expletives that describe how I feel about that.

I never, ever, want to see my team lose. EVER. You are the type of fan that makes fans of other teams, make fun of LSU fans.

I want to see him not turn into Coach Klein in November before making that decision.

I guarantee you if we are at 7-3, there will be a lot of fans that are secretly hoping for us to lose our last two so the administration will be forced to fire Miles, rather than keep him on at 9-3.

You can call me all kinds of names and question my loyalty, but I've been a Tiger fan since I was an infant, graduated from LSU, so I'm about as big a Tiger fan as you'll find, just more rooted in reality.

We can continue on our mediocrity march, or we can cut Les loose, get an elite coach in here, and elevate the program. And if it takes a few extra losses this year to make that happen, sign me up.

But again, I'm not for doing that UNLESS our season is already in the shitter. We still have a shot at the West and the playoff, so I'm all in until that's gone.

And don't forget, Mike Shula improved every year at Alabama until his last (4-9, 6-6, then 10-2), and then went 6-6 and got fired. They hired Saban.

I have to say that I agree with this!! We should have blew out MSU by 40+ points, no excuse that we didn't except that our 2nd half offense resembled the playbook of old by Les.

I am very glad we won, but I'm not ready go jump on the pumper wagon. Let's wait and see how many L's we end up with and then decide.
