Hell no. Even if we win it all this year, Miles' time in BR has come to an end for me. It would be nice for him to go out on top with another championship but last year with the way that season played out and the way that Wisconsin game played out should be enough for Miles to go. I'm tired of needing a translator to understand what in the hell the man is trying to say. I'm tired of having the highest paid coaching staff in the nation with some of the best talent and nothing but second-tier bowl games to show for it. I'm tired of seeing lesser teams with lesser talent start true freshmen QB's who run their offenses better than our 3rd year junior QB's.

No. I finally gave up on him on September 3rd when he completely killed all faith I had for this team.
My expectations pre September 3rd compared to reality is laughable.

i've been off that bandwagon since 1/9/12... the way i see it is he's a lame duck and the writing is already on the wall... unless he can deliver an SEC championship and a berth in the playoffs, i don't see how he survives another year.... too much has been promised and not delivered, and i really feel that a majority of fans think he is out of touch with where college football is, and they don't trust him to adapt concordantly...

i just pray that next coach retains Coach O, Craig, and Aranda

Have you forgotten that last year at this point we were undefeated and on our way up the polls eventually to number five before the real meat of our schedule kicked in... It's way to early yet to coronate CLM as a change man and improved coach. He's been suspect to me since his first press conference in 2005.

We have progressed, it was a win, but we are nowhere near where we need to be to beat the November nightmares.

Agreed. Being cautiously optimistic here, but we are also a long way from November. Hopefully the progression continues.

There was little doubt that imo Les woukd figure it out. He always has regardless of departures or major OL injuries like back in 2012.
He does need to land these 2 incoming QBs and 1 of them needs to be a very good player. Period.

Even a big fan of his like me, realizes that the SEC championship will go to the best QB in conference or a top 5 national defense only.
He also needs to get this years OL hitting on all cylinders by this weekend to have any chance of remaining most likely. Im betting that he will.

But anyone thinking Les was stuck in the past with game planning or is not a top coach is mistaken. Tom Herman is intriguing but anyone else is a reach fir me.Jimbo certainly isnt the answer.
We can argue that he shouldve develeped Harris or made the change to Etling sooner or replaced the OC last year etc.just like any other school fans do.

If the team doesnt continue to progress with the new DC and new QB, it will be hard to argue vehemently if the AD which i despise makes a change.
Altho i would disagree, Les has put himself in this sisituation. No one to blame but himself. It probably will take a great coaching year from all the coaches and no major injury issues to save the season and himself.
Time will tell.

my what short memories we have after 12 years of empirical data to lean on. let me ask you

has he fixed the annual on the field discipline issues now?
player management?

game management?

preparation?

what makes you think any changes will be permanent?

and what lead you to that decision?

just curious

think I am. CLM made the neccessary changes we needed this week. Etling will start the remainder of this year and next year and that will lead us into the Myles Brennan and Dylan Moses era. All I need to be fully locked in is a similar gameplan and play calling again this week that we saw against MSU

So you're the one who gets scammed by the con-artist over the phone to turn over their life savings. Check your email, someone wants to send you a check for 13 million if you give them your bank account number.

I mean, technically, no one else will either considering a once in a lifetime coach is in the same division. There's NO ONE who has proven they can beat the guy on a regular basis.

No, he needs to pick a scheme and then recruit the best player for that scheme. Not just recruit the best players and force them to play a scheme they've never played for in their life.

Would have to win out, and win each game convincingly. I know, that's asking a lot. But considering all the preseason hype this team was getting (one of best collections of talent - improved BH - receiving corps - new offense - new DC and etc.) I figure LSU should be dominant, no matter who we're playing. CLM owes that to his recruits, and to the fan base. We have put up with years of his stubborn trifling.

Miles is not the coach to bring LSU back to being a consistent top 10 football team. If this is crucial to the program, he should go; if not, he could say another year or two.
