When he didn’t retaliate after JD got rocked last year I lost respect for him

When we lost to USC after he said we’re looking for a fist fight he was “meh”

Honestly he’s a great player but he’s just a big teddy bear personality wise.

It would be nice if he could get in touch with his inner Kyle Turley every now and then.

Oddly enough today is Kyle Turley's Birthday.

I think he is being held up as the reason the ground game has struggled, because of his fistfight comments and his false start.

How can he be responsible for running plays that aren’t to his side of the line. He said he was “expecting a fist fight” and you dumb asses got butt hurt after LSU got beat. He should have gone to Notre Dame like people at Neville told him. You people don’t know talent and disregard hard work and community service and grades.

His actual quote was “we’re there to get in a fist fight”.

The expectations of him have been set so high that even a penalty or mistake of any kind damage the image.

That's probably true. But he also kind of invited the criticism with his statements (prior to the USC game): "We're going to run the ball, That's not something we're hiding or trying to keep quiet. I'm telling everybody right now, we're going to run the football. Our running backs are big, fast and powerful guys." and "We know what we're going to Las Vegas for. We're not there to go to Caesar's Palace. We're there to go get in a fist fight, and everybody in this building knows it, and that's just what it is."

Only to then get kind of punked by USC and not be able to run the ball all that well this year.

I don't think those statements were made out of arrogance. Moreso confidence in his teammates. But when you make statements laced with bravado and don't deliver, don't be upset when people call you out on it.

Campbell and rightfully so because of the false start penalties and Jones to a lesser degree get the criticism because of their first round mock draft projections. And Chester the RS-Freshman gets buzzed because of his rookie mistakes. But what about Frazier and Dellinger who are both seniors and have basically done nothing? They are far from “road graders” and apparently aren’t even on NFL radars this year, much last last year when both were draft eligible.

He's got a interesting voice.
I thought it was just his radio commercial but then I saw a TV commercial and it was the same way.

Well he told us what we should expect this year and honestly as a group they have failed at grinding the running game forward.

I'm not saying that I believe it. I'm saying that's my theory about people bashing him.

The rant has the highest standards I’ve ever read and heard. If he isn’t pancaking people every play, he’s dogging it.

When you talk shite and are slow to the hole, commit penalties (CAPTAIN WILL to you) in every game and talk shite you don't back up, a little humility, clean game, hustle and pancaking an opponent will go a long way.

I keep seeing people say Campbell “talked shite”. If that’s referencing his comments before USC, that wasn’t anything close to talking shite.

It’s amazing how quickly some of y’all turn on one of the best players we’ve had in recent years who has worked his arse off for this team. Y’all are scumbags.

Why didn't you Mensa candidates tell him to go to Northern Illinois?

Well he did receive the highest Grade of any OL in the country. No sacks and No pressures on a 91 pass blocking & 82 run blocking.

Which game? Not the case for USCe.

Will Campbell is absolutely one of the best in the country based on his physical skills and his experience. The Will Campbell hate is one of the most irrational things in this board right now and it's hilarious.

He's good at pass blocking, his leverage could use some work and his run blocking when he pulls though a hole is bad. USC safeties were giving him the jelly legs. He'll really get rocked at the next level.

Other than a mean streak, he has all the tangibles.

We'll see how he does when they get to the meat of the SEC schedule.

JD helped the line out a whole lot last year.

My opinion and 5$ wont buy you crap.

I bought into the hype before the season started

Not me. I posted that I thought he was mid first round, and I didn’t see a top five pick there.

He is a GREAT pass blocker, though.

If you’re speaking of the general consensus on the rant

This is pedantic, I know, but it is a pet peeve of mine. All consensuses are general; it’s what “consensus” means. So “general consensus” is redundant.
