LSU no longer has a MBB program. We run a lunchtime YMCA league team. We just play for fun.

That’s how the AD is attempting to frame it putting ownership of results on poor player quality due to poor NIL funding. That is the state of the program currently, but the main people at fault are Woodward for making gross miscalculation on firing Wade and who he chose to replace him with and McMahon for poor roster construction and in game management. Recruiting is the sole feature of what McMahon has done here that lived up to or exceeded what was expected of him.

I just saw that Villanova fired Kyle Neptune who was hired in 2022. He had an overall record of 54-46. It’s interesting to see how programs with actual standards operate.
Instead we will be heading into Year 4 of Woodward’s Charity LLC. The PMAC needs to be empty next season.

I sincerely believe that Scott would probably be on board with making the announcement as soon as WW takes whatever job he prefers from the several offers he gets.....but Scott committed to the NIL narrative to cover his arse in that regard so whether we like it or not it's a year away.

The year zero thing was a popular refrain, but I think even some of the folks pushing that deep down inside probably had to admit in this day and age with NIL and the transfer portal that it was a very weak baseless refrain.
