Are we the most hated school across all sports now?

I am very happy to play the villain, but I am wondering if we are the most hated across all sports.

Probably one of the most controversial. However, there are a lot of people that aren’t LSU fans that like it when LSU is good.
It is funny how people on here say that they love embracing the villain role but whine any time anyone says anything that isn’t positive about LSU. Not you specifically OP, but some people.

Much of the country hates Duke more, and Christian Laetner in particular- at least outside of the broadcast media world. I know people who would give days off their life to see Durham, NC razed to the ground on a biblical catastrophe level.

Not even close. Contrary to our own opinion, we dont even register to most fans, media outside our little box. We aren't big enough, good enough across all sports or relevant enough to be the most hated.
Texas is the most universally hated program in the country. They are literally good at everything. Not necessarily championship good but better than bad across all sports. They are THE elite program in the country and aren't shy about telling you so. The elitist attitude, competitive success and ability to outpay anybody for anything breeds resentment and hate. From the top of the food chain(football/basketball) down the the lowest of low, all women's sports, theyre good at them and quick to tell you just how good they are. Look down their nose types. Couple that with an alumni base among the wealthiest and largest in the country and you can't even computate how much resentment and hate they garner across the athletic landscape.
