Lost in all this is the great job Vincent did limiting "the greatest receiver in college football". Jeudy finished with 5 catches for 71 yards. In fact, on a whole our DBs did a great job limiting RAC yards in their slant game. But, give it up to Vincent, who many said was gonna be the weak link in this game. He played GREAT!

Thank you! EVERYONE including gumps talked about him being a liability and he played lights out. Best I remember him playing.

They all played great outside of 2 blown coverages, that allowed 150+ yards and 14 pts. The final score didn’t reflect the beat down.

Remember when bama was pinned back and Tua threw a crossing route to Jeudy and Vincent ran his arse down for no gain?

Kary seems to play his best games against the best competition. Think about Ole Miss last season.

Texas and Florida just threw dimes against him. He was usually in position to make the play.
It was his tackling that was a bit suspect.

I'm glad he remedied that situation so everyone will quit focusing on his failures and realize how good of a player he's been.
He's been the primary focus of the Offensive gameplan against 4 Top 10 teams so far this season. That's a ton of pressure. Everyone would give up a few plays. But he's done well enough to help the Tigers stay undefeated.

I thought all our DB's did a great job limiting a NFL receiving core!

Kary Vincent stepped up when he needed to. For two weeks we've been hearing about how he was the weak link and the game would hinge on him. Well, he showed up and did his job.

The same could be said about the entire defense. Really proud of those guys. Aside from flukish long scores they made bama work for every yard. They stiffened up on 3rd down. They got a stop on a huge 4th down.

Do we know Vincent's status after that cheap shot by the Alabama offensive lineman?

31 was covering him on one of them. The next play they got 31 guarding Jeudy in the Slot an he rant a square out to the pylon and Tua put it perfectly to him. That was not Vincent.

I was worried they were going to pick on him but he played a solid game.

He definitely held his own. A couple of those receptions were when the dline got no pressure and he was chasing Jeudy around for 5+ seconds. That’s a tall task for anybody.

Yep, good post. Excellent job Vicent. The few times Jeudy did get open, he dropped the ball. There was one play that I can remember where Vicent lost his man in a big way.

He did a great job and I'm proud of him. Hopefully the SEC will suspend that jerk that took a shot him. Inexcusable if something isn't done.

I agree. Nobody has been able to stifle Jeudy. Kary did a great job. Maybe that's why he got blindsided.

Indeed. They're not used to their "greatest receiver in college football", getting locked up like that. So, I'm sure that OL was frustrated.
