Yeah promoting an unqualified, overrated QB Coach to OC just to land a recruit in one of the worst moves I’ve ever seen a head coach make.

And it would be true even if we had landed underwood

No.

He would be better off throwing away every single one of his plays and just reading the fricking Score Board every Saturday during the game

He is terrible

Hankton will want the promotion or he’ll hit the eject button.

That’s a net positive. He’s miserable as a recruiter and coach

I’m not aware of any reason he would expect to get the OC job or why he would leave bc of it.

A career position coach with 1 year of a title as Co-OC.

The main issue I see with the offense is the zone read RPO. Every DC knows Nuss is not going to run so why do the RPO? All that happens is the RB runs up the middle into a packed D line. I never see any outside runs, jet sweeps, anything to keep the defense on their heels. I believe the pass game is very good although they do tend to try too many go patterns and jump balls down the sidelines. The game plan against Ark was the best of the year when they threw quick passes and marched down the field 5-8 yds at a time.

Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. both credit Hankton with a ton of their development. I think Lacy just sucks and will never be able to catch a football so Hankton is getting blamed for that. And our OC is terrible.

You thinking of a read option? RPO the QB either hands it off or passes it.

However, I do agree on plays where we elect to pass it, that Nussmeier needs to have any semblance of game IQ and run 4-5 yards and slide 5 or 6 times a game. The linebackers all float back into coverage and leave the middle wide open, but Nussmeier just keeps his eyes 30 yards down the field. It’s bad quarterback play. Flat out.

I was hoping he'd be demoted again now that we've lost on QB recruit.

Meh....maybe. TX A&M, USCe and UF, should be wins w offense that couldn't score in red zone....but D and Special Teams share alot of blame too. Bama was the only arse whipping.

Regardless of whether he was or not, he wasn't qualified to be our OC. After failing on Underwood, he has lost all leverage.

I’d like to see him go back to QB coach. He does an excellent job there, and Kelly hire a high powered OC. Don’t know if that can happen.

I dont think he’s been good but I also think we’ve played poor enough that idk if our record is that different.

No way. BK does not want to get as involved as he has been.
