re: Are Daniels supporters okay with Walker at least competing for the starting position?

Do you seriously think CBK is going to "auto start" anybody? I'm sure he told JD5 it will be an open battle in the spring. Correct me if I'm wrong but JD5 can still declare for draft after spring?

No different Ryan every other position, always should be a competition

That was in reply to someone with an "if so" scenario. So, "if" a dual QB option would have been used, it should have occurred this year ( in a rebuilding year ), not this coming year. You can calm down now, lol.
BK obviously has watched many practices, I don't necessarily believe he made his choice on who was heads and shoulders better ( he said it was a very close competition ), more than the best option for the OL issues of the offense at the start of the season.

Or is it an auto-start for Daniels no matter what?
There should never be auto-starts at any positions. Players should always have to earn snaps and starts. Great players will hold down their spots if they are doing their jobs. Competition will only make them better.

By “Daniels supporters” you mean LSU fans right? Because there’s only one sect who values their preferred QB over the program and it ain’t the one you mentioned.

Absolutely, let the best man win!!!

Kelly has benched season starters for younger guys before. He benched Golson for Ziaire at ND in 2014. He rotated guys and played a freshman his last year at ND.
I was surprised they didn’t rotate some in the games that Daniels struggled at times. That said, I can’t say they didn’t get the best they could out of him from UF to Bama. He also played well vs UAB. That said, hopefully the staff will be more willing to pull the trigger if he has rough stretches next season.

I would hope every position is always up for grabs to the best player. Anything else would be negligence by the coaching staff.

Up to BK and his staff

There isn't going to be a damn competition for starting QB. Maybe for backup, but not starting QB. JD is back, he is the starter. Never has there ever been a time when a QB played good, comes back and is in a competition for the starting position.

I’m referring to ranters that are all-in on Daniels no matter what
Posted on 12/23/22 at 9:49 am to Jasonwilliamstaxes28
They should all compete and be ready. They will all get a chance to have their time.
Posted on 12/23/22 at 9:49 am to drexyl
I cant think of anyone who takes that position lol. There is more likely someone who takes support of nussmeier over the good of the team

It’s because they don’t exist. They are made up straw men created by low IQ dumbasses who have somehow convinced themselves that 60-year-old Massachusetts-born Brian Kelly, having known 21-year-old, California-born Jayden Daniels for less than 6 months, developed some sort of weird crush on him that blinded him to the fact obvious to the other coaches, the team (especially the WRs), and all fans like themselves that he was clearly the inferior QB—or rather not a QB at all—yet played him all year for…reasons And now that crush has turned into a lifelong loyalty that Kelly will use to start him again next year without any competition, in spite of the obviously superior evaluation skills of the other coaches, WRs, and most importantly, themselves, to the existential detriment of the entire LSU football program. That is the narrative they have to pretzel their tiny brains into creating rather than admit they are simply wrong. Or dumb as frick cocksucking racists. Likely both.

I’ve never understood this mentality that people only support things due to blind loyalty.

You're either stupid or another team's troll.
Which is it?
