Per Rap

3 sacks in 37 career games. Anyone surprised by that? Honestly can't say I am. Just didn't seem he was going to translate well to the NFL.

My memory is fuzzy on it, but I wanna say there were either work ethicissues or just disinterest in football concerns for him going in?

he went to rehab during the summer of 2016.

Gained a bunch of weight and missed some games in '17 because of it.

He said for weed, but that wasn't true.

Was the one of those “get up for the big games” player. Didn’t do much in other games. While it is good to play well when the eyes are on you that is usually a red flag to NFL scouts when those are the only games you show up for.

Wasn't his name on the Strength coaches list of "lazy players"?

What’s crazy is I remember reading a Raiders article either after his rookie year or the next that says he was a step away from a sack on 11 different occasions. This is the difference in work ethic and next level determination from very good college player to becoming a relevant pro.

He doesn't love football, he loves what football does for him...

You see that in lots of players that are gifted, but you can tell they do not love the game.

Along with Travonte Valentine, these two were the most mentioned names on this board circa 2016.

I don't remember that. The year he got the sack record, his sacks were spread out pretty evenly. Everybody got that work.

He wasn't some freak like Myles Garrett, but he was plenty athletic enough when combined with his size, length, and instincts to stay on a roster in the NFL had he given a shite at all.

If he had an elite work ethic, he'd still have value on a roster. Not a super star or even a starter, but he'd make a roster.

If he had an elite work ethic and didn't make the mistakes he made in college, he would have absolutely been a superstar.

Remember when the experts here thought he was a top 5 pick?

He had 12 sacks as a Sophmore at LSU in 2016. Since then he’s had 8 sacks in 4 years.
5 his Junior season
3 with the Raiders

I'm guessing that the facemasking call against the Dolphins that cost the Raiders the game and eliminated them from the playoffs was the last straw for Chucky.
