unless you want to sign 4 guys a year, some existing players are going to have to go. the new roster rules dont leave you any choice

Is that why many times through Mainieri's LSU career we've started a season with more newcomers than returning guys?

Is there always some excuse that makes things not Mainieri's fault?

One or two more will still have to go to get to 35 if Barash shows up in Jan

It's not just LSU with roster turnover, it's the roster limits that dicate it now.

Every school is doing the same thing

Laird is a better outfielder than anyone LSU had last year.

Aaron Johnson was supposed to redshirt, but he complained to Coach Mainieri about redshirting and begged to play this season. So Coach Mainieri pitched 2 innings on the year... Or so I've been told.

I would like to know where you got that info. Please email me at hamez1210@yahoo.com so we can discuss this further.

Did I miss where Jackson Slaid left? He's not on the roster either. I'm trying to figure out who else is missing from last year (that still had eligibility).

ETA: Michael Reed, Braden Strickland, and Aaron Johnson aren't there either.

I'm surprised about Johnson, he threw alright in his limited innings. I thought he should have thrown more.

Reed and Strickland don't surprise me at all. Slaid and Johnson are very surprising. He's currently keeping McCune (who may be totally done, just doesn't look to have anything left) and Yocum?

Fields probably wouldn't have seen the field without Schiambra getting hurt, right?

I love how everybody assumes CPM cuts everyone. Anyone remember 4 year infield backu Chris Magee? He said he was given the option to leave because his playing time wouldnt be great, but loved LSU and wanted to stay. How do you know Coach didn't tell Arby and Watkins that next year we have more bodies out there and your innings most likely will go down. Maybe he said we can release you if you wanna play more for scouts or you can stay. Anyone think it is the players choice to leave? Arby could miss family from cali.
