Pretty sure Aranda is making a lot more money as LSU DC than he would as Rutgers HC. My free advice to Aranda is take a big fat pass on Rutgers.

Of course, free advice is worth exactly what you pay for it.

Don’t think that is a job he would leave for.

He could get a much better head coaching gig

He will make the jump eventually. But he should make the right move.

If he takes the Rutgers job, he will fail miserably (everyone would) and be right back as a coordinator in a few years

The article says CDA is already making $1.3 million as LSU's DC. You'd think that a journalist for a college football mag would be a little more informed.

In any case, besides the fact Dave Aranda is not really HC material, he needs to earn his pay and fix this defense for the rest of this critical year. Otherwise, he can go to Rutgers or go coach someone else's defense.

I don’t think he should take the Rutgers job, but if he wants to be a head coach he’ll eventually have to take a pay cut to get started.

A little more. Ash made 2.3 mil - but just took down a 9 mil buyout.
