I honestly am starting to think Poonansky is a smarter than Tiger Ree.

Wasn't Orgeron quoted as saying he didn't even know what was in the binder?

Yes Orgeron recruited Burrow, hired Brady and coached a great season. Still doesn't change the fact that Ponamsky is sought by nobody in CFB except Orgeron. Whats your point?

Guy keeps getting major CFB jobs and fans on an LSU message board don't think he is useful or talented. Lol

It’s not that people don’t think he is useful or talented but I recall some people thinking the program was going to crumble to the ground when he left the program.

LSU fans are known for the catastrophe syndrome but you never want to lose young talented people to other programs in the world of CFB. So it was reason to be disappointed to lose him at the time. LSU seems to have replaced him pretty adequately with Kevin Faulk though so no worries.

From what I understand, Austin Thomas' specialty at LSU was organizing camps, compiling the recruiting board (film, evals, scheduling visits etc)and managing relationships with HS coaches.

So it’s not the same duties as a nfl or mlb GM.
More of a logistics person.

Can you honestly say we were better at evaluating talent and filling key needs with Thomas than we are now?! You sound silly. He was an overpaid waste of space. LSU has hired 10 analysts that are apparently more sought after now, than Thomas ever was, and it cost LSU less money.

Once again the message board never disappoints. Everybody on the rant could do AT's job better than him. We get it.

Waco is a much better place to live than CS. He probably considers Aranda a friend, and he got a title bump and pay bump. Sounds like a pretty good deal for him to me.

He'll be somewhere else in a year or two getting a 1% raise if it's offered, this dude has no loyalty to anyone

The Rantards wanted to pay him $1 million per year. Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!!

Probably would have been worth it. The LSU football program is a mere shadow of its former self when that guy was in BR.

Let’s see no one wants Ponamsky, no one wants Ensminger and no one wants O.
Who cares?

Looks like Aranda knows only people he worked with at LSU.

His DC (Ron Roberts) never worked at LSU.

Who would hire him?

The guy that just won the national championship in his third season would hire the guy?

I'm ok with saying both Thomas and Pomansky are utterly useless.

Austin Thomas is a unicorn. He's some mythical beast that has magical powers

Damn you! I swear I was going to use the unicorn analogy. Talk about overrated! I wondered what happened to him...man, he surely did a fantastic job at A&M. By the way, has anyone yet pondered why if all these SUPPOSED genius coaches were at LSU why wasn't LSU winning the NC every season...Miles or no Miles, Orgeron or no Orgeron. It is just like players...fans of a team think they have the ONLY good coaches in the country and the ONLY good players in the country.

Yep, NO ONE wanted Eaux, Burreaux, Edwards-Helaire either. But the little bitch Rantards are still crying about a guy who has no affect on their lives what-so-ever besides being responsible for the LSU hype videos.

"We do have a cool brand, and we know that," said Ponamsky, LSU's special assistant to the head coach and, essentially, the director and executive producer of LSU's hype videos. "We want to take that cool brand and continue it in everything we do, on the field, off the field, digital."

you've probably had at least one of the 3.5 million views on LSU football's Joe Burrow Heisman hype video
