He had a great draft (signing day) and now LSU is signing some great talent from the portal.

It's literally his job.
If we bitch about (or praise) the OC or DC then we should do the same for other members of the staff.

Yup. He's doing what they brought him back in January to do and that's put together the best roster that LSU's assets can so we have the talent to compete for a championship.

He’s the one that sets up their “draft” board so to speak. He manages budgets and lets them know what they should spend on players.

In the NFL they would call him the Player Personnel Director, and next to the head coach and general manager it's the most important role in the organization.
