Did he jump on a plane as soon as he landed in BR Saturday night to interview? This has happened in a whirlwind.

We’ve got people saying he’s for sure gone and others saying he’s for sure staying. I’m in a glass case of emotion!

Tbh if he wants to take a HC job on January 14th I wish him all the best. I understand why schools are making hires now, though

As long as he gives it his all in the playoff I am fine with it! He deserves to be a head coach.

If he takes it and agrees to stay through the playoffs, will he be focused? We need his full attention for OU.

This is all because you people were so hard on him after the Ole Miss game. Can’t blame him for leaving a toxic relationship.

But still don’t see him leaving LSU at $2MM for UNLV for $800K per year just to be a head coach.

It just doesn’t make any sense.

Why take a drastic pay cut (when you are the highest paid assistant coach in the country) to Get all the responsibility and headache at a mountain west school that won’t have the recruiting base or ability, nor the resources to attain anything other than mediocrity?

Instead, make bank at an established powerhouse that is on the path to a championship, and possibly a run at greatness. He’ll get better, more lucrative and more attractive offers from P5 schools with a Natty under his belt in the future.

What sane man would piss it all away to slide into a forgettable HC career destined for lukewarm?

They probably offered Nick Saban too. Who cares about offers.

What, did they take their coaching budget down to the casino and win big? So UNLV, a blip on the radar in CFB, is going to pay 5+x as much as their last HC for someone who has Never been a HC? For what? They will never even sniff a playoff or even break the top 10.
