This is a myth. The refs are very skilled at calling critical penalties on the opposing team early in the game. Once Bama has an advantage, the refs throw few ticky tack flags towards the end that don’t impact the outcome. This evens the stats up and people like you can claim that they’re the most penalized team.

They weren’t stopping him? After the TD we went Punt, INT, Punt (penalty drive). The only thing that kept me sane about that hit was the fact the game was essentially over.

Clearly Daniels was out played by the AL QB. The other two major teams LSU played FSU and MISS Daniels played poorly. That is why I think he should not get the Heisman.

Fair clean hit. Should not have been a penalty. It is outrageous he drew a flag. Football has hard hits. So what? It wasn't a late hit, and it wasn't targeting.
