Some of these comments are pathetic:

Good Luck Brandon, but as a mother, I wish you were going to complete school first.

Do any of you know for sure he will get his degree in just one more year? He may come back and still not get a degree.

Or he may graduate in May. He redshirted, so he's been at LSU for 4 years already. What are you saying?

yeah if he's not close to graduating, then he's not going to graduate if he stays another year most likely

and he's majoring in general studies. 1 year on the practice squad (which is his worst case) is like 3-5 years of GS salary

My post wasn't about what Lafell should do. That's a pointless discussion. It was about whether there is any news regarding his final decision. I'd appreciate any legitimate response. Thanks

I am saying that if he took the minimum (12 hours) each semester, then he would have 120 hours at the end of his 5th year. Is that enough to graduate? I dont know, things have changed since I graduated from there.

Point is there is no guarantee that he will graduate even if he comes back another year

So, you weren't looking for "Coors Light Cold Hard Facts" type of information (AKA predictions and opinions)?

He could blow it out first week in the NFL, earn not much, get put out of the NFL, then he has no college degree.

Terrible argument.

The argument for him to stay is that he'd make more money coming out next year.

The cost to finish his college degree is miniscule comparitively.

Exactly how much do you think that people on the practice squad make?

how much do you think a general studies degree from LSU will be worth in a major recession?

Well the deadline was 5 pm est thursday to enter draft. There's a 72-hour grace period after that to withdraw your name...you do the math
