Breaking news out of the Les Miles camp on Gausman.

I doubt he turns down 4.6 in hopes of getting 5 next year. I don't think he would have a drop off season, but you never know.

I mean it's not the typical situation of a junior since he is only a sophomore. He'd still have leverage as as junior next season.

from the linked article i didnt understand this blurb:
arent those restrictions in place this year already?
quote:
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported earlier this week that Gausman, a right-handed pitcher, was "seriously considering" a return to LSU. That strategy carries substantial risk, particularly with the more restrictive rules on draft spending under the new collective bargaining agreement.

Holding out for lifetime donut supply.

Per Aunt's maid's dog groomer's twin sister's 3rd grade teacher's ninth born son's first crush's dad: Kevin is back on campus and pitching for LSU for 2013. LSU shut down brewery talks for donut warehouse. Kevin will pitch and work 25 hours a week as taster.

Correct bap...in fact if baltimore signs KG for more than 4.4 they have to pay a 75% tax from my understanding. They would have spent the total allotment allowed for picks.

so he could have hurt himself by holding out since they can't skim any money from players that haven't signed yet
