I've been a big time Les fan since he got on campus. I'm starting to see shades of Mac Brown in the direction of the program. If he stays we can still be successful, but if he left there's enough young talent for whomever comes in to do well. If he left it wouldn't hurt my feelings. I'd like for much of the staff to stay.

1. Those teams that are loaded with talented players are run by Miles.
2. LSU is always in the discussion as SEC West, SEC and occasional national title contenders.
3. I'd like to get an idea of who the realistic options are for replacing Miles.
4. Per capita, the state is loaded with D-1 talent. With no major conference program to compete with, LSU is an attractive program. But LSU is not limited to Louisiana talent alone. It takes a coach, a good coach and recruiter, to attract, develop, and send those players to the next level.
5. Back to #3, there is a strong possibility that LSU downgrades at the head coaching position.

No. I don't think people really appreciate what he's kept going at LSU with his staff and recruiting power.
I don't know who LSU would get either.
I would rather a plan be put in place in a few years when he wants to retire that will allow a smooth transition.

So the only reason you want les is recruiting not his play calling, clock management, or the way he develops Qbs ??

That is the only thing I'm hearing that is making people uneasy about a change is recruiting...

I say give the reigns to Can. Keep everyone else and maybe make Wilson co-head or assistant head coach to make sure everyone stays.
Losing Miles would not be that big of a deal IMO. Parents would like the next coach as well as ling as he's a good person...Which seems to be Miles' best trait.
I doubt anyone would argue coaching /game decisions are Miles' strong point.
I'm tiptoeing around the issue which is Yes, I want him to leave. There is too much constant talk of his job, his alma mater, his live for Michigan, etc. I'm not bitter, I think it's best for all.

To say that LSU would downgrade at coach shows how frigging pathetic some of you passes are on this board!! The answer is yes, yes, yes, and oh did I mention YES!!. He's not going anywhere, but don't think this program could not and would not get a better coach than Leslie! I would be a better coach than him. But alas, the idiot Elmer Fudd ain't going nowhere! So here's to.more 8 and 9 wins and greatbowls like the Texas And Tax slayer bowls. In elmers own words, Whoooo!

Similar to the last time UofM came calling I think he would be wise to stay and I wouldn't mind seeing what he does with this core group of future NFL stars next season. The last time they tried to pursue Miles all he did was go out and win a national championship! I look for a similar feat in 2015! He needs to stay!

I was not a big proponent of the Miles hire, but the man became my coach the day he turned them down before the SEC Championship game. He took one for the team that day. To return to your alma mata as HC, where you played & coached has to be the "dream" job for any at this level. Few ever get the opportunity.
After a second turn down, not sure he will have another chance, but at 61, this is certainly his last opportunity if offered. A tough decision for a family guy whose youngest only knows Baton Rouge.
Whatever his decision, I wish him the best, unlike his predecessor. He probably earned a spot in the HOF in his tenure at LSU. I am grateful for his time with the Tigers.
