2012, 2013, 2015, 2017
If I'm making that argument, I pick those 4 years.

Coincidentally, according to the experience metric I used to see if time in the program correlated to post season success, those are numbers 2-5 on the most LSU experienced teams we've had under Mainieri. Number one being 2009.
This years team would be 6th.
2008 is a true anomaly. The team with the least amount of LSU experience, or institutional knowledge really, of all Mainieri's teams here. And they made it to the CWS.
ETA: I've been bringing up this information in bits and pieces over the last couple weeks, but it's geared toward an offseason thread based on how the forced attrition goes.

Yes. We have a very good pitching staff. We need to recruit players that can hit the fricking ball. The last game with OM was the exception. In most low scoring games where we lose - we should have more runs.
We’re fifth in batting avg and third in runs scored among all SEC teams

It was the same conversation we had about Les. People say give him a chance but he has had chances and more often then not he hasn't gotten it done. To me they have only had 3 successful seasons by LSU standards since 09.
2010-lose in regionals at UCLA
2011-miss regionals
2012-lose to Stony Brook at home in Supers
2013-Great season but go 2 and q in Omaha-still successful although disappointing ending
2014-lose to Houston at home in regionals
2015-go 1-2 in Omaha-still successful
2016-lose to Coastal Carolina at home in Supers
2017-National runner up-still successful
2018-lost to Oregon st in regionals on road
So three successful seasons in 9 years. Should be more than that in my opinion. We have the best fan support, facilities, etc. Only thing holding the success back is the coaching in my opinion. I don't understand why not hire a proven hitting coach after Cannizarro left. Gibbs and Ochinko are not proven and haven't done well.
If we don't finish well, so repeat of last year, we are starring that scanario three years in a row with next season. Why delay the inevitable. Just fire him after this year and go after O'Sullivan. Woodward has a knack of pulling guys that everyone says are unattainable. Let's see what he can do.

I've said it several times, no. His career is very similar to miles. Good, solid coaches that win a lot of games each year but can't cash in multiple times when it counts.

Because people say it on the Rant doesn’t make it true
Also, I’m still asking for clarification on the quote below from your other thread

As an aside, the same can be said for Moffett. He needs a pink slip too. Our baseball team looks like a golf team physically speaking.

To win 1,415 games based off of luck, well fella luck would have run out a long time ago.

Maybe. I think the remainder of season should be his evaluation, and next year as well. If he continues the trend of losing to the trash from Lafayette, and Tulane in midweek games than no, and I think he should be let go.

If it's common knowledge than why did so many talented kids just show up to play for him ? Idiots like yourself cant formulate a logical sentence about baseball and PM to save your life. You just read shite on the rant and repost it as fact.
