No, but I am still pissed off at Curly for letting Jamie Howard throw all of those 4th quarter passes (i.e. interceptions) against Auburn. It was like a condensed version of JL's season.

the ball was snapped, the ball hit the ground after hitting mauck's hands, the ball was recovered by OU. JV wasn't near the ball

I'm glad that was cleared up, because for a while I wondered what game they were talking about. JV was nowhere near the ball on that play.
Matt Mauck is a member of our alumni association here in Denver, and I asked him a couple of years ago at our crawfish boil about the fumble and what caused it. Being the class act he is, he said it was just a mix up between himself and Big Ben Wilkerson. I took that to mean it was probably Ben who caused the fumble, but Matt would never blame anyone else.
