I have no doubt at all that Saban NEVER yells at his players.

Saban knows when to yell & when it's a teaching moment. Everyone loves to bring up Saban getting on players but if they actually spend the time to watch how he handles his players behind the scenes, you would learn that he excels at explaining to kids what they did wrong on the practice field.

Soft and entitled generation

So you’ll just stand by and let your boss berate you without saying anything or without finding a new job?

And you say this generation is soft?

Treat them with guys with respect and actually coach them. Yelling and screaming is going to teach anyone a damn thing.

This. Saban adjusts & adapts. Pelini is a dinosaur on the verge of extinction.

That may have been true 10 years ago, but times are different now man. These kids know their value to the program and what they’ll get once they come out.

How many? 10%? 20%? The rest are wasting their time.....

It started when Pelini came in. I spoke with an ex player who is still somewhat tied in with the program. Said flat out the defensive players don’t like Pelini or his style of coaching (yelling and screaming). They were used to Aranda being calm and deliberate with his instruction. Pelini just blasts kids. It didn’t sit well. O not nipping it from the start has now cascaded into a much bigger problem.

Ironically, that's how O was at Ole Miss. He said he has since adapted and it made him a better coach. Pelini by all accounts has yet to adapt.

No I wouldn’t and I highly doubt pelini is doing this to his players. Too many of his former players respect him and talk favorably of him for that to be the case.

Yea, but Saban’s players go in knowing that’s his style. We’re talking about kids that played their entire careers, until this season, under Aranda.

I don't accept that. Have they never been yelled at by a coach before? If nothing else, they are playing for their draft stock in every game. Do they get to pick which DC they play for in the league? If you can't handle criticism, if you are that soft, then GTFO.
