Anyone know the World Series wins/losses records LSU Championship years.

Just curious if anyone remembers off the top of their heads the 91,93,96,97 &2000 year records in Omaha. Curious to remember the years we started 2-0 and any years to fight back from an early loss to get to the Final(s).
Just now thinking I don’t see anyone beating Oklahoma and Ole Miss twice right now.

only the 1993 team lost any games in Omaha. They started 2-0 and then beat LBSU after losing their first game to them in the semis. So our records those years were 4-0, 4-1, 4-0, 4-0, and 4-0

We beat Oregon State twice in 2017 and it was blissful.

Hated losing to Florida more than any team I could have imagined losing to though. I dislike Florida anything

I think we were 21-2 during the 6 title runs in Omaha. Lost to Texas in 09 and Long Beach St. in 93.

LSU didn't lose a game in 1991, 1996, 1997, and 2000. LSU also didn't lose a game in the 2009 CWS until game two of the championship series
In 1993 they won the first two games before losing to Long Beach St. However, LSU won the second game vs. Long Beach to advance to the championship game.
2017 was the first time LSU fought through what we would consider the "losers bracket" to reach the finals.
Usually if you win the first two games you reach the championship game. But it is not a 100% certainty.
OSU (2017), TCU (2016) and Arkansas (2012) all won their first two games but failed to reach the championship series. Same for NC State last year. But they were disqualified because of "covid"
Point being, it is almost a certainty at least one of Oklahoma and Ole Miss reach the championship series. It's very likely both do.

Agreed that the Florida loss in baseball was equivalent to the Alabama loss in football.
Not sure what the hoops equivalent would be, but may Kentucky I guess?

I'm fond of the beaches along the forgotten coast.

LSU won their first 2 games in 1998, but lost twice to USC to not reach the championship game. That one sticks out alot because i believe LSU would have 3peated that year. But a majority of the time, its the teams that start 2-0 usually wind up playing for the championship

Add 2018 MS State to that list

More or less than using prepositions in your posts?
