agreed shreddin..remember shaq losing to byu in the second rd in his last game. was pissed...but at least we were getting top talent back then..and was very entertaining in the deaf dome. Now..just isnt fun going to a game.

However, having three 5'9 point guards is not good. Stringer, Bass, and Hickey might not get off a shot against UK.

they should be able to get steals in the open court, if palming the ball is called correctly.

Couple of games brought some decent crowds. Yvonne and arm games. Can't remember the years but both were ranked when we played them. Even girls would draw a crowd when they played tennis. Its not only the team, but basketball just sucks in general.

Winning will start getting the casual fans to come, winning consistently will bring all fans.

I agree 100%. It was frustrating because we had crazy talent, but never went anywhere in the tournament. However, the games were fun and the atmosphere was great. It just isn't there anymore and it is frustrating.

there is some talent on this team and enough talent to be good. i loved the way they competed tonight. but the bottom line is they are not put in good positions to make plays and are too often ad libbing out there on offense and if they dont get the ONE look they're in search of from that high ball screen it is just an abyss.

ABSOLUTELY!

This team looks like they have no clue on offense. The half-court sets are stagnant at best. There is little to no ball movement and even less moving without the ball. I can live with guys getting good looks and them not going down, but this team rarely gets any good looks inside of 20 ft. People bash Stringer and Turner, but those guys are spot up shooters. They struggle to create their own offense, yet that's what TJ asks them to do.

The frustrating part is that I really like TJ. I want him to succeed here. But it is becoming more and more apparent that it just isn't going to work here. I didn't expect LSU to win this game, but I was absolutely positive that they would not get a good look at the end of the game when a 3 would have tied it. It's tough to keep the faith

There's a big difference between an indiana team that went to the final 4 and byu. Shaq destroyed byu.

Not really.

Team is leaps and bounds better than last year.

The first eight SEC teams we played have a record of 119-39. (frick this shite, schedulers....) The second eight teams have a record of 98-60.

If we finish the regular season at 9-7, and win two games in the SEC tournament, we'll still make the NCAAs.

I really would only lose faith if the team stopped competing. MOST of the teams in the SEC aren't better than us this year. It's just that we haven't played any of those teams yet.

The only two we've played we beat, and one we beat by freaking 31 points. Some people act like this is a winless team

I've been disappointed by two games this year. South Alabama (even though it was an OT loss, it's still a bad loss) and Alabama, because we didn't compete at all in the second half.

Losing by 5 or 6 points to the #15 or 18 team in the nation isn't really a big deal. It wouldn't even be a big deal if we were ranked #10.

What's curious to me is that Alleva came here from Duke. And we all know what that means. You would think he would be in the middle of all of this. How much longer before he steps in?

You sunshine basketball pumpers can't be serious. Have you ever just looked at the physical attributes of a real college basketball team like Syracuse, and compared them to our players? We not only lose year end and year out, but the quality of athletes is glaringly absent. We need big, physical, fast, agile players like real basketball teams. The quality is just not there. Bring back Dale Brown!

You didn't just compare Syracuse to LSU did you? Get a grip, comparing LSU to Syracuse in basketball is like comparing Duke to LSU or Bama in football, it's an unfair comparison, of course the talent disparity is large

So, why should we accept the disparity? Just because we're LSU and will always suck in basketball? I don't get it?

You're right, we probably would get STOMPED if we played a team from the Big East.

Well, Rutgers is terrible. Well, other than beating Florida, UConn and Pitt in a two week stretch, they're terrible.

But what if we played a GOOD team from the Big East?

shite, you're right. No way we could compete. frick it. You want my season tickets?

Those are called "flukes" sheep. ULM beat Bama in football a couple of years ago, but if they played them a hundred times next year, Bama would winn 99 of those games.

It wasnt always this way....we had shaq, chris jackson, and stanley roberts all on one team. Hell just a few short years ago brandon bass, big baby and tyrus thomas were all on one sqaud (though TT was obviously redshirting.)

Who's to say he isn't satisfied with the progress we've made this year?

Coach K had a losing record after his first three seasons at Duke. Should they have canned him?

I tend to trust the judgement of the guy who feeds his family (and has been for years) by making these decisions.

Number 1, most schools don't value baseball over basketball but we do, so it's hard to have that strong of interest in three sports. Number 2, we sucked in football whild Dale Brown was here so the interesr was in basketball, now we are in the golden era of lsu football and we expect top talent to come and be overshadowed by football and baseball. Number 3, the basketball talent is not good right now in Louisiana. Finally if you watch this team there are 3 freshman getting a lot of minutes. 2 sophomores, a junior in jh which explains some offensive lapses and missed assignments and folding under pressure. We also signed a good guard from John Curtis and potentially Gathers. Obviously something is building. We are close. I will judge Trent next year. Right now all I see is a strong foundation.
