Anyone else think it’s time for a change at RT?

After watching the spring game (and multiple years of game film), I’m just not sure Deculus will ever be athletic enough to handle the speed rush on that side. I’d feel a lot more confident with Cam Wire at RT. Wouldn’t mind Bradford over Hines either. Thoughts?

Wire at RT. Deculus replaces Hines at guard.

I have NEVER understood how Deculus ever plays. He's slow and is the weak link on the offensive line. I am sure he's a fine young man, however.......

Ever see anyone play in his place and do any better??? He has missed time for injury so if someone was going to show out in his absence I must have missed it.

His position has always been guard. What is amazing is that LSU coaches have not been able to find anyone that can exceed his play at RT, which has been average on his best days. He may have a future at guard in the NFL, but never at tackle. It would help LSUs oline play if someone else could play RT even at his present level, as he probably would improve our guard play.

Hines is worse than A.D. Austin gets beat with speed rushers from time to time but he is serviceable.

Hines is the week link and it’s not close. He got blown up and caused a fumble in the spring game. Most of the pressure from the right side is Hines. You notice A.D. more because he is on an island.

He did okay in 2019. Only started every game for the greatest team in history. Not bad.

Someone playing "better" just speaks to the lack of talent we have at that position, or offensive line in general. What the hades does that have to do with HIM being a bust?

Don’t know about this year but dellenger will be a beast next year at RT.

Look at his film from the spring game, he more than handled his own for an early enrollee

sorry i am not answering the direct question, here. but this line is going to be good.

there may be a slight weak spot, or even two. but it will be pretty good.

He will probably project as a guard in the NFL. And he's likely our best option at RT. Hopefully a more balanced attack will help him. Not having our running backs in the spring game allowed the defensive ends to tee off on the tackles.

You do realize how good LSU’s Defensive Line is don’t you? Well maybe you don’t.

I’m 100% sure it’s impossible to win a championship with Deculus starting at right tackle.

It appears to be drastically better than last year. I can't wait to see how they look in the fall with a less vanilla scheme.

Right

We literally won a NC with him at RT. So it’s absolutely possible to go 15-0 with him at RT.

He didn’t even look bad Saturday.
