I’m either working for double time and watching the game on my phone or saying screw it and leaving at 12.

One of my friends got married evening of LSU-Bama in 1998. I missed the fourth quarter.

She did me a favor.

Had a late morning tee time in phoenix that day thinking it would for sure be a night game... luckily it's a boys trip with a bunch of dudes who don't want to miss it either.

That has been cancelled and we are currently searching for a 7am replacement

No because I don’t associate myself with anyone getting married the day of the Bama game.

Missed the Bama game in 2008 for a wedding. Although it sucked we lost, just being there for that blocked kick would have been worth it

Actually an interesting dilemma. Get paid 2x per hour to watch LSU football, or forego the extra cash to watch on a big screen at home with a beer.

If I was invited to a wedding on the date of the LSU-Alabama game, they obviously aren't really concerned whether I'm at the wedding.

No but I anticipated a night game to drive down from Frisco, TX on Saturday morning and spend one night. Now I have to fix that asap if I can get a Friday room somewhere. Prices downtown nearly $1K per night. One night is ridiculous but was worth it. Not 2!

A friend of mine got married the Friday before the alabama game in 2019.
I got a text from him (the groom) Saturday night after the game, the text said:
“best thing to happen all weekend”

I broke my leg (just like Skattebo's nasty injury) in a rugby match at Highland Road park earlier that day. Not only did I miss the game but my amberlamps was stuck in gameday traffic on way to the BR General and I didn't get 'emergency' surgery until 1130 that night.

She'll be okay. Many of us have been comforting her.

Missing big events because of a game that happens every year is peak beta material.

you must not understand college football in the South. It's not just a game but is part of the social fabric of the state and region.

Now, I'd probably go to the wedding if I was close to the couple, but it also shows the couple's lack of understanding of their community and guests.

By your logic, why not plan a wedding on July 4, Thanksgiving Day, or December 25? I mean, they happen every year, right?
