You always accept a bowl bid because it gives you valuable practice time that you would otherwise not be allowed if not in a bowl game. That extra time goes a long way for developing the younger guys

Exactly. After losing most of last offseason, LSU's young guys can use all of the practice time they can get.

There are not enough Sonics in the NOLA area to accommodate this?

It would only be fun for Lafayette area people and BR people from there or ones with friends there. The rest of the state wouldn’t give two shits.

Give us UT in the Texas bowl or Florida State in Shreveport. That would be much better. SEC teams have no business facing G5’s in bowls unless your name is Vanderbilt.

I don't see if we would accept that bowl since we have the SBC Championship 4 days before that.

Ok so there’s like two other bowls that are options for ULL at that point. one in Mobile & one in orlando. Those are the only that have SBC ties I believe. Don’t even try to say y’all are NY6 bound.

LOL Why would I say we were NY6 bound?

The other main options would be Mobile, Montgomery, Orlando, and maybe Dallas.

Might as well cap off the worst season in decades with a first time loss to ULL.

if we go 4-6 or 3-7, we don't belong in any bowl.

And yes, I understand that almost every team this year will go to a bowl, but it doesn't mean we deserve it or should even accept the bowl invitation.

Anyone else kinda want to end up in the NOLA Bowl vs ULL?
There’s going to be a lot of teams with losing records in Bowl games

That is why this year would be the best year to cancel all bowl games and have a true 16 team playoff championship. This is a crazy year anyway. All bowl games lose money or barely break even except for the national championship and the two playin games. So you can only imagine how much money the bowl games will lose this year with no fans attending. Plus does anyone really truly want to a 4-6 team vs a 5-5 team in a bowl game? Or worse yet, two 4-6 teams?

So have a playoff including conference champions plus use the AP Poll or Coaches Poll to add in the highest ranked non-conference champion and may the best team win.

It would be the equivalent to the NCAA Basketball tournament. Everyone gets excited to see the possibility of the underdog winning. There would be more interest in a true championship format this year than any other years in the past.

We would be lucky to even get a bowl game invitation. Sure alot of it has to do with TV ratings but Im not really confident we'll get an invite. We absolutely have to beat Arkansas and Ole Miss to MAYBE get an invite.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the New Orleans Bowl can contractually invite an SEC team due to it being structured to be a Sun Belt/C-USA matchup.

Stop kidding yourself.

If we fall that far down the totem pole, I would rather go to no bowl at all, although LSU versus Tulane may be fun.

I have serious doubts about Bowl Season even happening. Ready for LSU to knock out a few more games for young players' experience and get to 2021. 2020 will be one big asterisk.

No, cause ULL would skullf$&k our pansy arse defense. This team doesn’t deserve a bowl.

No matter how bad you think we are this year ,there is no way we are losing to ULL, don't worry about that.

Do you seriously think this? Based on what?

Do you honestly believe that UL is significantly worse than Mizzou or Miss State? We just got creamed by one of the worst Auburn teams of the last 10 years that only has a winning record due to “questionable” calls in back to back games. GTFO.
