Yes... well over a week for me. Cant even tune into any of the LSU Content Podcast without hearing 45 min+ of gossip talk about it. Nobody is talking about football anymore.

i kinda wish lsu wasn't involved in all this crap...you can't make the 53 roster or the 15 player practice squad then maybe time to go coach HS football instead of tainting lsu's name

No, this is all entertainment.

Is it really that entertaining though? It’s just been a bunch of people complaining for the past week and a half.

Yes, but all leaders in college football has allowed for this to happen due to a lack of leadership. The university system should have been more inclusive in investing into enforcement through the NCAA. This started years back, an example is when the NCAA was going to enforce restrictions to UNC Basketball, for only UNC to threaten legislation.

Let the men handle what? A shitshow of complaining, emotional accusations, gossip, lawsuits, he said she said, they did we didn’t??? This whole CFB environment, and this board, sounds more like a bunch of women to me.

My interest in college football is at an all time low.

I'm the opposite. All this drama has piqued my interest and I am currently glued to the TV/radio/ internet. But I'll admit that it is exhausting though.

Before we hired Lane, my interest in cfb had been steadily dropping for years. Now, this new saga has all of my attention. But I'm afraid that after all this smoke clears it will be back to the same old apathy. The powers that be have really screwed up college sports beyond repair in my opinion. It's a complete shite show.

Everything that college football has become this offseason is disgusting and cynical. I can’t wait to put it all behind me and just watch an actual game on Saturday.

I definitely miss the days when we pretended players weren’t paid, when players were actually student athletes whom I saw in classes, when conferences were no more than twelve teams in a concise geographical area, when teams didn’t have corporate sponsors on their jerseys, when transfers were few and rosters were mostly determined by recruiting and graduation, when players didn’t opt out of the post-season because it was “playoffs or bust”, and when sports broadcasts and discussions weren’t all about gambling, tweets, and lawsuits.

The fact that all of this stemmed from a handful of insane students who didn’t like the fact that a character with their jersey number and rough measurements would appear in a video game without them getting paid makes it all the more insulting to me.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love attending live college football games. I still love watching random games all Saturday. I still want to see LSU win the SEC and compete for Championships. However, I loathe seeing how the sausage is getting made now, and I feel like the sport of college football is consistently getting worse and worse.

Just an unwanted distraction on the eve of the season. If the player was paid by any Professional Team they shouldn't be allowed to participate regardless of eligibility. Ultimately, the NCAA is to blame for this nonsense by not grandfathering back enough years for a number of players who have presumed eligibility

me too.

I'll watch the game, but I feel zero emotional connection to college football anymore. Zero.

College sports is terribly broken.
