Dude we played them first game of the year, an away game across the country, with brand new coordinators. stop using that as a reason to doubt us

I won’t revise my expectations until LSU’s defense fixes the problem of frequent catastrophic breakdowns in coverage.

I said we’d go on a 5 game win streak after the ucla game

We’ll lose to Florida and all the negatigers who became positigers will become negatigers again

There will be no coaching change but I’m sure they will take your donation to the cause for the future

Plain and simple we are not good enough to take anyone lightly, with the exception of maybe ULM? Every win this year will be a struggle as it was last week.

So, we should enjoy being mediocre, because we have reset our expectations?

Looking at the macro, the goal is to contend for titles and that should never change.

Looking at the micro, we all see that this team has flaws and does not live up to our macro expectations. So we as fans have 2 choices:

1) we just complain about how much we suck and how we are below Bama, UGA, etc. and we stay miserable all season.

Or

2) we accept what we are this year and cheer for our guys to get better each week and win the games we can win regardless of how ugly the wins look. With this option you hold out hope that the young guys get better and better and set the foundation for the years to come.

Once the season ends, expectations go back to being contenders whether this staff does enough to be around next year or we have a new staff in the building.

As for Kentucky, we could be a trap game for them sandwiched between their two biggest games of the year (Florida and Georgia).

You know things are bad when LSU is a trap game for Kentucky... in football

Here is the problem. The super negative LSU fans have not reset their expectations for this team. So consequently they crap on everything about this team. The best players on this team are first and second year players. Most of the 2019 guys left or didn’t pan out. My 2 cents.

So if someone accurately evaluated the coaching at LSU, if it's not positive it's negative expectations. Maybe if more people paid attention to pay seasons including athletic directors there wouldn't be so many coaching idiots.

Auburn isn’t a pushover. Do I feel good? No. But I am confident we can win without playing the perfect game as it would probably take to beat some teams.

No. Both these games are going to be difficult grinders. And we need to win both.

LSU looked foolish against an average UCLA team on the road.

I put more stock in how a team plays in week 4 over week 1.

Agreed. Im not super concerned about Auburn. But we never play well in Lexington and the Katz are pretty decent this year.

LSU hasn’t played at UK in how long? Completely different staffs and players on both sides. History means nothing in this regard. If it were a team we face every year that’s a different story

Last year Auburn lost to SC, struggled against Arkansas and Ole Miss who were not great last year. All before they destroyed us.

Every game on the schedule this year is going to be very hard. Except for ULM.

People also forget that Arkansas struggled against a cupcake earlier this year.

And lsu struggled with mcneese, miss st, and lost to ucla. The teams are all close together.
LSU beat Mcneese by 4 TDs, was beating Miss St by 3 TDs in the fourth quarter (aka, game wasn't as close as scoreboard). People bringing up the UCLA loss like this LSU team right now is the same team that played UCLA.

Kentucky is trash.

Auburn with Finley, you want to let them throw the ball. LSU will bring pressure on Finley and make his day miserable. We have several ball hawks in the secondary and it will get ugly. We have to stop the run.

There is only one team in this bunch that hasn't continued to decline since game one, guess which one it is???
