That’s exactly what the decision maker is charged with. A good hire is all about fit.
A good hire is not just throwing the most money at the best resume.

Are we going to get this question every other day?

we didn't fire less miles to go 19-7 the next two years.
This is such a tired narrative. Nobody was picking up after Miles and taking that team to the playoffs in the next two years. You don't really have a clue if you think otherwise.
To be clear, I'm not someone who LIKED the O hire at the time, either.
Boy, those O haters are sure quick with the downvotes, though. Wooo Weee!!!

Should have told O that.
There is also a vast ocean between not going to the playoffs and losing to Troy and State in a 2 game stretch.
ETA: inb4 dumbass peej accuses me of bash bash bash

Please try to argue against it. That was his expectation.

Too silly. But, keep thinking this is some great slam for whatever is your position here. What is it?

And thats a fake counterarguement
Winnign those 3 games wouldn't have made us a playoff team.
But again 9-4 isn't just missing the playoffs. its a below par season
and 10-3 finishing in the top 10 was nice last year, but that could've have been a 11-2 12-1 team easily with a good offense.
Tell me you don't think we would have had a better records with a better OC in 2017 and 2018. If you think i am wrong than say that you don't think a good OC would have made a difference in the W-L column.

That LSU of this century expects to compete for championships every year.
But props on calling O's expectation silly.

Ive been a O supporter since day 1

Brady absolutely was a game changer. And we would have been hoping that experience alone was enough to improve our offense without him. While continuing to do the things we did that hamstrung our best players.
LSU’s leading receivers in O’s first full season were:
Chark
TE Moreau
RB Darrell Williams
WR Gage
RB Guice
WR Dillon
WR Sullivan
FB JD Moore
FB Tory Carter
That is putrid and embarrassing by LSU standards and that is what O was left with from the Miles regime. Compare that to what they are running out now.
The OL is in a much better place now
The QB is worlds better
Brady has been awesome but he has “dudes” all over the place. Again, the whole damn process passed you by

You will be hard pressed to find struggling teams who change coaches who have much better two first seasons.
But keep clinging to Troy, you may be able to fall back on it if we somehow falter again.

Stop using facts. You’ll confuse Lester and he’ll start crying again

or with a defensive stop in the A&M game

Yeah, hadn't done so for 5 years before Miles was canned.
