Jordy's hot takes lately have not been great.

i had to take a break from his show a week or two before the season, because he just kept going in circles talking about how talented this team is at every position. Just killing on air time.

now those takes make even less sense after the FSU game, so I'm back on Off The Bench for my morning commute show.

And we don’t know with Nuss,

This is why he doesn’t start. Jayden has played well enough to win just about every game he has started for LSU. He has never cost us a game. It’s at best a wash in the win column with Nuss. So why frick with it other than to just throw the fans a bone?

I prefer this. Jordy can be entertaining but it seems like he really goes for the hot take…he reminds me a lot of how some people post. One extreme or the other.

If you never throw the ball you never throw interceptions. Hey, it was everyone else's fault we lost, I didn't make any mistakes that cost us the game.

He did a show tonight recapping the game and when it came to quarterback play, he said he didn’t want to start a quarterback controversy lol but he said both played great but there was something different about Nuss in the small sample size that he saw. He said with Nuss there will be no rpo plays that he is looking to run and that our wrs are our biggest playmakers on the team and that Nuss probably would be the better option for the wrs to make plays.

He also said with the way our defense will probably give up a lot of points this season, we will need to win in shootouts.

100% nailed it.

See this is the falsity paradox the fluffers try to bait you into. When he goes 8-20 for 80 yards and 2 turnover but we win “he played well enough to win” then when he has an avg game and we lose, even though we don’t score much, its “everyone else’s fault”. So it’s always a no lose scenario with the guy.

Jordy pretends like he has all this inside information when it has been proven over time he is just grasping at straws. I to quit listening to him. Could take his constant parroting for Denver Harris when the dude has proven he is any good.

I like Jordy but he has been very hard to listen to the last couple of weeks. He was praising Harris this morning even though he got beat several times by the Grambling receivers.

Jordy’s show is if the rant had a podcast. Almost everything he says sounds exactly like something I would read on here.

THROW THE BALL! that's the problem. He just doesn't throw it.
He's more worried about someone needing to be wide arse open instead of throwing into single coverage up the sideline, or throwing a receiver open over the middle.
If they aren't wide open, or it's not an 8 yard out route, he isn't throwing the ball.

Yep, JD takes an inordinate amount of time to throw a deep ball and the receiver has to have significant separation for him to finally make a throw whereas Nuss can throw earlier and make the receiver's job easier. There is no doubt on those throws. I just think it is crazy to not give Nuss a defined series or two per game if JD is having a slow start or off game. If I were a receiver I would much rather have Nuss getting the ball out quick than not, as would the OL.

It sickens me how he’s treating players who committed to LSU in HS and have stuck it out in favor of transfers who couldn’t hack it at their previous stops
This x1000. Once you start losing kids from home, its over. Too much talent right here in Louisiana. If that isn't prioritized, Kelly can pack his bags because he is done at that point.

Theres no way BK is just noticing JD is a horrible passer.
JD had better comp% last outing than other 2 QBs?

If you are listening to Culotta you are getting zero nuance or context.

All season he was HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE. He ate all the cheese. Bought into the unrealistic expectations. Now when 1 thing goes wrong, its a meltdown beause they havent been able to hit the unrealistic expectations.

LSU was 34th fbs att in '22 and 43rd so far in '23. Not exactly "never throws".

edited for att instead of ypg.

So y’all think LA athletes are going to choose another school because of a perceived slight in a guy that committed to LSU out of high school?

If Nuss felt like he was being slighted do you think he would still be at LSU? He had his option to leave last year knowing he probably wasn’t going to be the starter this year. Kelly has never once said that Jayden wasn’t the starter in 2023.

Glad Orgeron didn't listen to that logic.
The lack of experimentation is boring.

I used to love Jordy but he’s become so much about the drama and sensational takes that it’s hard to listen to most of the time, except for his interviews.

According to the coaches Jayden Daniels is the starter for the 2023 LSU football team.

What coach in America would do what you are saying if they know who their starter is?
