I was all for a playoff system until this yr it opened my eyes about how the committee picks and seeds 4 teams. This is a farce and a travesty on how they seed LSU and Ohio St. If u ask me now, id say i rather the old BCS system back.

The original BCS worked accounting for SOS...after USC and the media cried they tweaked it and fricked it up...

This. Have the original BCS setup pick the top 4/8 teams.

I always thought the BCS was the best system. I was for using the BCS system until the end of the season and put the best 8 teams into a playoff. That way “an eye test” isn’t needed from a bunch of morons in a committee.

I've said before this Committee is set up to be a popularity contest. It's just like the basketball Committee, instead of 60-64 and the seedings bs, it's 1-4 with the same seedings bs.

I'm hoping and praying for a season in which the Top 10 all have two losses.

If we had a human formula or computer formula, 2 teams or 16 teams!, people will bitch. It’s not the formula, it’s human nature.

The CFP has matched what the BCS would have been every single year so far. Your argument is idiotic.

well yeah, you can't please everybody.

i still don't like the idea of a committee. never have, probably never will.

it's totally unnecessary and makes for too much politicking

just use a formula of bcs, computers, ap poll, coaches poll, etc.. or whatever.. but there is no need for all these people, who are clearly influenced by the media.

They haven’t officially seeded anyone yet. These pre- seedlings are to generate ratings and stir up controversy

The same committee who has put the same four teams in that the BCS would have every year?

Just call it what it is. You don't like the CFP rankings THIS WEEK, so you are melting like a bitch, and this is the argument you want to make because you think it's a good argument.

Exactly. They have 68 teams in the basketball playoffs, and people still bitch.

I’m tired of the whole MNC concept.

I think the old days sound better - just conference champs and bowls

Don't conflate a playoff system (which is good) with the debacle of a committee who thinks their opinion carries more weight than what happens on the field (which is bad).

FWIW, the BCS formula has the same 4 teams. I think going back to a formula would, largely, take out the subjectivity, but it would be the same result.

Yeah, let’s have a system where the defending national champions could go 13-0 including scheduling 2 SEC teams and get left out that would be AWSOME!!!!

So u liked the new system until the year that the old system would have made things easier for the team you cheer for.

So switch back to BCS format until a season where LSU ends up being ranked 3rd or 4th and switch back to current 4 team playoff system.

I’m on board.

They should do both. Use the BCS comp to pick the 4
