Ethan poic is a true freshmen, but very massive and athletic. Top 5 lineman recruited nationally, god damn road grater. Then there is boutte, one of the top guards that dominated all star practices and games. He was a top 10 recruit as well. They won't be on the bench.

Don't sleep on Andy Dodd either :/

How do yall see the rest of the two deep playing out?
If the starters look like this
LT: Hawkins
LG: Collins
C: Porter
RG: Turner
RT: Alexander

Who backs up where?
Williford can play both guard spots and fill in elsewhere. Hopefully the same goes for Fanaika.
And Dodd/Malone arent here for the spring so theres gonna be someone else taking snaps at C. Ben Domingue is gone now, he used to take some snaps at C with the second and third units.

Maybe the second line has:
LT: Pocic
LG: Fanaika
C: ?
RG: Williford
RT: Edinburgh

And theres still Evan Washington and Jonah Austin to factor in. Maybe Turner takes some reps at C while they try different options out. Could Washington get a look there? And like whats been said before, theres a whole wrench thrown in the equation if Collins plays LT or other guys get moved around

Anyway Alexander moves inside to give us this...

LT: Collins
LG:Turner
C:Porter
RG:Alexander
RT:Hawkins

That would be a monster line.

Can he? I don't ever remember seeing Wiliford at LG.

I'd love to see them try Alexander at G. Gives us an opportunity to get out top linemen out on the field together. Im not sure if the staff will try this or how much they want to juggle the pieces around but its definitely something Im interested in.

Yeah I agree. Alexander at G gives us the best line in my opinion. Two complete roadgraders at guard and athletic pass protecting tackles.

I think Porter can be effective as much as the next guy but he is absolutely unproven.

I would bet that he logged at least 30% of the SEC snaps last season. PJ was always hurt.

ETA:Going back to look, Porter didnt play in 3 games. MSU, Ole Miss and Clemson. In every other game he at least played.

Williford at every spot sans OC

Actually has been practicing snapping the ball this offseason so he could be more versatile .

Alexander was coming off injury going into the bowl game. He gets his weight down, hell be fine at RT.

Also porter played last season. At center and RG. Turner went down for a few plays and porter played rg.

Excellent list and I think this is accurate.

And my opinion on the underclassmen question is that Boutte and Pocic may see early PT. I'm specifically thinking of the Frank Wilson interview about the 2013 class. He called Boutte a "road grader" and said Pocic would play "early".

I think with Stud moved back to just OL issues will be dealt with far more effectively when they arise (as he will be down on the field to coach). I'm not worried about the OL.

To the OP, I'm not overly concerned about the OL. There's lots of talent available. Biggest concern would be another year of injuries and non-chemistry.

Recall after '11, looked like '12 would be the best OL in our history (4 out of 5 starters returning and La'el steeping in for Will Blackwell) and it never really happened.

Don't want to mention any names, but in the Chicken Bowl Clemson's left DE ran around our right OT like he was standing still.

Yep - don't know what that was all about. Seemed like our true-Fr RT played well 'til then.

Williford at center? I'm just wondering how effective a 6ft 7in long legged linemen would be at center. I know pj was tall bit they had different body types. Williford is still a all sec caliber guard. I think he has a fight with turner over who starts at right guard vs. tcu.

While you aren't mentioning names are you also not going to mention that he had just come off of knee surgery and was basically playing injured?

Is Stud considered a good coach? Seems more like a character or a "cut up" than a respected coach based on some of the photos I've seen posted on this site.
