This totally got lost as it occurred while the Auburn game played out. FSU seems like a pretty decent ACC squad (definitely a step up from our prior exhibitions) and we hung with them the entire game. How did the “new” guys look?

I watched it and I Initially thought bad defense and rebounding cost them the game, but after looking at the stat line FT's definitely hurt the most They shot 53%n from the line. Must improve that for sure. I know it was the first game for Dessert and Niang, but I didn't see much from them. Ruzic is the one that really impresses me from the bigs. He is going to be really good once he gets a few games under his belt !!

Will Wads’s teams at LSU were very good at the free throw line.

But at McNeese his teams were below average. My initial thought is, “Wade will get them straight at the free throw line”, but it was a two year issue at McNeese.

All true and we still had a chance to win but Dent made some boneheaded plays down the stretch including throwing away the inbound pass at the end.

We were pretty much down 10 for 70% of the game.
Then had a chance to tie it/or take the lead with under a minute left.

Not a moral victory, but plenty to build on there in addition to plenty to improve on.

Why is it called a free throw and not a free shoot?

I came away thinking both those teams are tourney teams.

And we have free throw issues, rebounding, and that niang needs to be more aggressive. Im sure he’ll get it going eventually
