Shelvin and Chase are not opting out. They are quitting. There is no deadline for quitting. You can quit anytime.

Shelvin if he has a great year maybe 3rd or 4th round!! And I mean MONSTER YEAR

Who told you this? They lied to you. He’s a first rounder if his weight is under control. If he has a “MONSTER YEAR” he’s likely a top 5 or top 10 pick. He has rare athleticism for a big man.

Supporting Trump=racist. That’s how stupid the other side is in 2020. Never mind may O supports Trump because he believes in his ideals or doesn’t like how Democrats do things.

I miss the days when no one knew which political candidate a coach supported and no one cared. Sick of politics and social issues infecting sports.

With the NCAA granting an additional year of eligibility to every player, regardless of whether they play or not, there IS no such as a deadline to opt out, nor can there be. Players will be opting out all season. There are no consequences whatsoever for players just deciding to sit it out and hope things are better next year

So counting transfers, that’s Brooks, Chase, Shelvin, Vincent, Mclendon, Farrell, and Thomas that have opted out, declared, or transferred.

That’s 7 planned starters or key contributors. Hmmhm. Interesting.

Welp, I thought we saved Shelvin, but he’s gone.

While this may come as a shock to many of our fans, the coaching staff wasnt shocked by this. The true FR DT's have been getting plenty of work in. Ika and Logan are your starters, and not a bad option at all to start the season with. Cherry has been getting buzz for awhile now, just finding a spot for him has been the problem.

Not with the amount of tape available on him at this point. He's going to severely hamper his draft stock by sitting out.

Even if he doesn't put on weight.

The opt out deadline is for players protecting their eligibility to return for next season.

That’s a moot point now. The NCAA is giving everyone next year. regardless if they play or not, the 2020 season will not count against their eligibility. There is no deadline

What’s dumber...

people thinking these guys are opting out because of Ryan Clark or because O gave Fox and Friends a cookie cutter answer when asked about Trump? I’ll take the latter.

What's dumbest is Ryan Clark's reaction to O giving a cookie cutter answer.
