seriously what did you expect from this press conference? Were we going to change our minds about JJ from a 30 minute press conference? No

Also, hasn't spoke to Alleva. Alleva needs to work on his communication skills. He's got our athletic department looking like a circus. Alleva has made some bad hires and doesn't have the nuts to them coaches accountable.

Maybe some honesty?

We sucked this year. Didnt feel we were ready to compete. Our team was down and divided and we didnt feel the NIT would be a good investment for our team. We will use that time to practice unti the seasn ends as the NCAA permits. I take full responsibility and promise to do better.

Why is that so difficult?

It's one thing to suck arse on the court but what really pushes me over the edge is when a coach and administration is completely unwilling to acknowledge that there's a problem. This guy actually thinks we play "an exciting brand of basketball". 3 days ago you scored 38 points and shot 20%. That's not exciting in women's basketball.

Saying that they didn't want to put the team in an unfavorable position by playing another game is mindblowing. So playing basketball is unfavorable for your basketball team?? WTF. I'm done. Let the 12 month countdown til we fire this clown begin.

Refusing to answer if Simmons is still going to class

I'm critical of Johnny Jones and don't care for his style, but I would have said "I don't give a shite" if someone asked me if Ben Simmons was still going to class. I mean, come on...

Rumor has it that Gary Coleman was offered a scholarship to play point guard next season.

The only good news from that press conference is JJ and Alleva haven't sat down for their end of year evaluation. There is still a chance he gets fired.

I hear TCU has an opening. We can be TCU's coaching pipeline.

Sad. Very sad. Coach Jones is way over his head at a major university. I'm getting tired of being embarrassed. The A&M loss, bowing out of the NIT, and now this press conference. Beginning with the Les Miles fiasco it's obvious that Joe Alleva and the administration don't have a clue how to handle difficult situations.

I'm done defending CJJ. Joe Alleva has no backbone.

It's a proven fact that Aleva can't handle a difficult situation. Just look at what happened at Duke when he was there.

How is he still employed as the head basketball coach for the university of LSU?

That tells me that Jones quit on this team. Probably begged the administration to opt out.

Wasn't enough of a man to be honest with anyone 48 hours after making the decision.

And trying to justify the "great energy" his team had by charging out to a 9-8 lead after 8 minutes. We had 6 turnovers in the first 8 minutes!

When you have Aleva and F King, this is what you can expect. I am less of a fan of Aleva than I am of JJ.
