This team is very inconsistent. I could see them making a run to the elite 8 or losing in the first round.

TT plays pretty good D

I think they win by 6 or more, IMO

Whatever. He can get in line and join the club...and eat a dick while he's at it. I'm tired of the haters out to get us.

It's all about Cam Thomas. I think he could have a postseason like Carsen Edwards did for Purdue in 2019

Hopefully it's closer than when Northwestern State played Texas Tech to open the season

Hit the nail on the head.. I’m no expert but I’ve played a lot of team basketball and I would certainly say this teams biggest issue is consistency.
Which brings light to a lack of leadership and shortcomings in the coaching staff.
A coach that doesn’t emphasize consistency and effort is never going to be considered elite.
And emphasis often requires disciplining of the players that don’t bring the effort consistently.
I don’t see much evidence of this coaching staff instilling discipline.

We bubble at best right now. Will be underdogs in half our games here on out. Lose those. Need two in tournament or Sit home

That's an understatement. This is one of their worst defensive teams since Beard's first year and they are STILL ranked in the top 15 in the nation in defensive efficiency. However, this might be one of their best offensive teams.

I think LSU has enough firepower to score...even on TTU. And, I think LSU's style of offense could potentially help here. TTU wants to grind you out in the half court and take away all the sets you want to run. Luckily, LSU doesn't run a ton of complicated sets. They generally just ball screen teams or ISO and let the offense run through Watford or Thomas. Days hangs out on the perimeter hoping he gets a kickout before crashing the board. Smart WANTS to take you on one-on-one. It's essentially a "we think our guys are better than you offense, and we are going to prove it."

(Broken record) DEFENSIVELY for LSU is where this game will be won or lost. If they are their usual lazy, undisciplined, unnecessarily over-aggressive selves, TTU will probably run them out of the gym ala Alabama and Kentucky. But if they are willing to give a shite on defense...for the whole game...they are good enough to beat Texas Tech.

Starting with tomorrow's game, the next five games will largely determine LSU's fate. Come out of this stretch 3-2 or 4-1, then they are a likely NCAAT team. Have a losing record over the next five, then they can get ready for the least exciting NIT in decades and lock themselves in as the most disappointing team since the Simmons season

There is no more time to "figure things out". The volume has to be turned up to 11 beginning tomorrow!

Stick with our man to man defense and we’ll have a chance to win every game from here on out.
