Anderson? Johnson? Coleman?

All guys from the left side we haven’t seen this week yet. Add in Moffett from the right side and I kind of expect we see Dutton get the start tomorrow. All five of those guys are toeing the rubber in Hoover before we see Herring/Guidry I’d bet again

I’m good no longer seeing Coleman again

I don’t know that Johnson & Coleman traveled based on Koki’s article:
There's also right-hander Sam Dutton, left-hander Kade Anderson, right-hander Aiden Moffett and left-hander DJ Primeaux. None of them have pitched in Hoover yet, even if Primeaux and Moffett were on the cusp of throwing Thursday.

That is surprising no mention of Cam. He’s a guy I’d like to see get SECT experience.
I forgot Primeaux and I guess Hellmers, too.
Anyone know if bronzini is available? We have a lot of arms still, it’s gonna be hard not to throw these guys before going back to our high leverage guys

We should be setting ourselves up for the regional at this point. the rest of this tournament is meaningless.
We accomplished our goal. We will either be a 2 or 3 seed.

Hellmers, Bronzini & Bucknam weren’t mentioned
Not sure what the travel roster limit is, I think 27

Agreed that’s why these guys being referenced will pitch the bulk of any remaining innings tomorrow and Sunday

I let Dutton try to get 6 and tell Johnson no pressure go have fun.

What I don't understand is why so many are of the opinion that pitching any of our high leverage guys again in this tournament would somehow not be setting ourselves up for the regional. I'm not talking about Jump or Holman, who obviously won't start another game in this tournament, but Herring and Guidry are both plenty rested, as relievers whose job is to pitch multiple times a week, and with plenty of days off to come before the regional. We've got people saying we shouldn't use them again this week. That makes no sense to me.
What LSU will NOT do, I am confident of, is overextend any of these guys going for a win. They'll be used with discretion when it makes sense to use them, but there is no doubt in my mind that we see them pitch again this weekend.

I expect they will try to get 4-5 innings out of Coleman and Anderson, then the rest of tourney will be short outings by the pen. I wouldn't expect Herring to get more than 2 innings the rest of the way. ERRRBODY in the pen will get work....they have done what they needed, now everything else is gravy...We won't be a 1 seed and I can't imagine they screw someone by putting us as a 3 seed.

You said this in another thread. I think we see a little from Jump when we play Sunday. Would not be 100 pitches again, but he could give us a few good innings. Many guys are workhorses a full 2 years after Tommy-John surgery.
Would not be surprised to see Jay start Dutton today. I would like to see Anderson, but another poster mentioned arm fatigue for him. Would like Cam Johnson to get a few batters today. Really hoping he is a stud for us next year.

I can't think of one example of where a pitcher wasn't babied after TJ surgery, myself. It's a process to get worked back into shape, and bear in mind that this week was the first time he ever pitched on 4 days rest. Doing that back to back won't happen in an extended capacity, when there is nothing to be gained from it. I want to win this tournament, and I'm not of the opinion that it "doesn't matter", as so many have said. But it certainly doesn't matter enough to risk injury.
Notice how I said "extended" capacity. You said "a few good innings", and I could see maybe an inning to close it out on Sunday, if they had the lead in a close game. I could see it, but I absolutely do not expect it.

Yes, we could see him, but no to “a few innings”. He could pitch, but I’d bet it’s no more than a 25 pitch count. Same with Herring. It’s not that they can’t go more; it’s just that arm fatigue is a real thing this time of year. A guy like Herring has been up and down all season long and needs a long rest of his arm. If he or Jump pitches it should be no more than what his bullpen session would have been.
