after the Florida game. Sure, he had issues, but as a college player he had remarkable skills. He was the number one pick in the draft. He is playing terribly on a terrible team, but his ability as a college player was enough to get the number 1 pick.

This panic shows real weakness. Know the problems with the team. They will either be fixed or there will be changes. No need to panic.

Raiders fans are still calling for him to be benched.

At least LSU was able to blow out the bad teams they played in 2006 before the Florida game. We saw a good offense before that game in the Swamp.

We've yet to see a good offense this year. This year is so strange and different from years past. People are reaching for things to make comparisons. Nothing really matches this season so far.

And then Matt Flynn guided us to the BCS. Are you saying they were wrong?

And Matt Flynn, Matt Mauck, Alan Risher, Bert Jones, Tommy Hodson and every other QB who ever started for LSU.

"The most popular player on the LSU team is always the backup quarterback."

They called for J. Russell to be benched after Flynn stepped in at the peach bowl. They said he flunked out of school, was jealous of flynn and stayed in b.r., we heard all the flynn was more accurate, could read defenses, threw a more catchable ball. Sounds familiar.

They made the right decision. I'm sorry, but I don't see it in JR. In fact, I believe that Matt Flynn could possibly do a little better even if he was on the Raiders. I realize that JR is on a terrible team, but he misses his receivers time and time again. The Raiders should be hating themselves for trading Garcia!

Do you EVER stop beating this ridiculous drum?

Matt Flynn did NOTHING MORE than JaMarcus did, other than be under center when Pitt beat WVU enabling LSU to vault from #7 to #2 in the final BCS poll. In fact, with the NCG on the line in the last regular season game against Arkansas, Flynn ended the game with a pick in triple OT.

Evertime someone makes this argument that Flynn was a superior QB to Russell merely because of a team goal needs a hammer to the testicles.

I know. It was never a clear-cut case either way. Although Russell's last 4.5 games at LSU were maybe the best of any QB in Tiger history, he did get stuffed by great defenses, and never put together the full season that Flynn did in terms of consistently scoring points every game.

My apology. I thought they were referring to the Raiders benching him. Either way, I think that JR has talent, however, I don't see him as an NFL quarterback. He had the same supporting cast and Matt Flynn still did just as good as a job. I'm only calling it how I see it. Did we have help from the BCS? Sure we did, but everyone gets help in some way or another that's the BCS for you.

Puh-uh-uh-lease.

You might want to research the facts before making such a dumb comment.

We all cheer for the same team, right? I'm an avid die-hard fan of LSU. I must say that Matt Flynn held his own very well. He had the same wide-receivers that JR had and produced a BCS Championship. Though, we all have our favorite players, let's not forget that we play for the team on the side of our helmet not the back of the jersy.

You just dont get it, do you?

Flynn delivered the goods. The only games he lost were on the D in 3OT. JR lost games due to lack of offense. 3 pts vs Aub, and only 10 pts vs Fl. MF may not have had been the superior QB, but he's not embarassing himself as the biggest bust in NFL history.

The only line ppl could use in support of JR was the #1 draft pick. Well they cant use that anymore, cuz he didnt deserve it.

The same thing is happening again. JLee has delivered the goods. Whether he's the superior QB really doesnt matter, cuz JJ just cannot move the offense enough to score in the critical games (Fl, Bama, Ole Miss, Arky, and maybe Aub).
