Fickell should’ve lost to Navy and Tulsa this year. He’s not the type of coach LSU needs right now. We need a culture change and Fickell just doesn’t have the skins on the wall right now. Let him go get them elsewhere.
Kelly brings INSTANT respect back to LSU. We won’t get made fun of because our coach eats grass or rips his fricking shirt off. Fickell is a gamble for a job like LSU.

The comments from across the nation have been how much of a grand slam hire this is but I’m sure your opinion is more valuable than people that actually work in the fricking sport.

Yea man, Kelly's 11-14 record against ranked teams at Notre Dame is going to bring a bunch of respect to LSU in the SEC West. LSU needs a "gamble" if thats what you want to call Fickell. Kelly even hired Luke Fickell's former defensive coordinator in Marcus Freeman and still got his arse kicked by him with a much more talented team. Hiring a coach that has proven he can punch much higher than his weight at less than half the amount youre offering Kelly isn't really a "gamble" though. Also, the dude played at Ohio state and coordinated at Ohio state during their last two national championships. He was the interim Head coach at Ohio state. It's just funny seeing people laughing about Fickell while Kelly has done absolutely nothing other than lose twice in the playoffs in blowouts. Skins on the wall be damned. Fickell has won two national championships as a coordinator and deskinned Brian Kelly as a head coach this year. I'm done arguing about it though. If you're a fan of offering Kelly more than most of the coaches in the sport then I'm sure you're happy. Everyone seems to be. That doesn't mean that a few of us can't preach about how bad of a hire it is.

You’re putting a lot of stock into Fickell being the ST coordinator in 2002 and Co-DC in 2014. You know who else was a coach on that 2014 team? Tom Herman (OC). He did pretty good at Houston then crashed and burned at Texas. Sound familiar?
