It was well struck but.. the kid was rushed. When he nodded to the holder that he was ready.. there were like 4 seconds on the play clock
So, he signals ready, then has 4 seconds more?

me neither...and he was ON him too !!! loved it. If he could keep what he has, but demand discipline and accountability from all participants in the program, he would be the best coach in the country. He also needs to put someone else in charge of game operations. He looked f'ing LOST before that missed field goal. He didn't even know what f'ing down it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do you not know what f'ing down it is??????? You're the head coach!!!!!!!!!

I agree. The penalty type that disturbs me the most is the personal foul penalty. I believe I counted 4 on Saturday. Clement, Edwards, Mills and maybe one other. Just can't have that. 15 yards is a big deal! That is a pure discipline penalty.

Totally disagree with the OP's premise (for the Auburn game), and I've not been a wallflower when critquing Les Miles in the past. The poor play in the Auburn game was a direct reflection of the players lack of focus and intensity.

-fumbles in the red zone by a QB who looks like he's stoned on the planet Mars instead of playing in a SEC FB game
-many many stupid penalties
-many dropped passes
- the missed FG- maybe you could make the case this was on Miles, partly
-horrific blocking by Josh D resulted in 2 key sacks

The players need to get their shite together and play LSU football or this season is going to quickly unravel.

I agree with your observation 100%. Me and the guys at my job say all of the same things too.

Too many koolaid drinkers in here to be objective about LSU football though, good luck.

So you would like to see a headset throwing, cursing loud mouth like Saban rather than a professional who knows how to maintain some composure when coaching 19 and 20 year olds? just want to make sure i understand you. How a coaches style comes across on TV is what makes him a better coach, not the on field results, you know...like winning and maintaining an elite presence in the college football world?

Seems like there are a bunch of Sunday morning coaches on the Rant lately that need to send Alleva their resume. They are obviously better at managing a multi-million dollar team than Les Miles.

Guys the OP doesnt even credit Miles with the 2007 title. End of discussion. Dude is a moron.

Miles is the most successful coach in LSU history. Currently a top 10 coach in the country. Easily. Some on you need to wake up to what we have and stop bitching. I promise, Miles knows 100x more about football than 99.9% of you ever will.

I did not say that... I just said I would like to see Miles display more intensity. And for the record.. I never mentioned Saban.

Nah.. I give Miles credit. I was being sarcastic w/that post. I do think Bo Pelini gets a lot of credit though.. That was his last game as D.C. before going to Nebraska.

Who hired Bo? You do realize the HC does more than just scream on the sideline right? Steve Spurrier is not a hall of fame coach because is throws is visor on the ground. Same for Saban when he loses his shite on occasion.

There is a lot more that goes into sustaining a successful program and CLEARLY Miles is doing things the right way. His record is all you need to know.

Now YOU are the one exaggerating. Although I do think if things don't improve pretty quickly we definitely ain't gonna be playing for the NC.

But then.. normally there is a second or two before the ball is snapped... in this case there wasn't. The kid looked rushed.

There have been at least three instances where there were clock issues:
1) OM '09
2) PSU '09 (CapOne Bowl)
3) UTenn '10

I agree... Miles hired Bo. Now.. he needs to use the same wisdom and go hire a top flight OC and take his hands off the offense.

But if there was still 4 more seconds, and he rushed the kick, how is that anyone's fault but his own?

You may want to schedule an appointment with him so you can share all of your knowledge of football.

We threw the ball 27 times. Many times down the field. We had penalties, drops, and turnovers. It happens. Yardage wise, we dominated.

Get over yourself. You are no where near as smart as you think you are.
