Am I the only person having trouble with how our TAF donations are being pissed away?

Over 40 million spent buying out coaches and assistant coaches in the past few years, paying huge salaries w/o ever showing they can do the job very good. Corporations get a nice write off, my donations not so much--seems like we are getting more like the Federal Government--just throw money at it and hope...

Who cares. Either donate or not. If you don't trust the powers that be, quit donating.

Which is why the main guy is leaving, so we can hire someone that can put together a competent staff and not have to buy out assistants after just 1 year of failure so often.

Be real, you've probably "donated" a grand total of about $150 over the last 20 years not counting ticket fees called a donation.

For what its worth, I think a lot of the buyouts are paid by boosters.

Feel free to share this with them. You could choose not to donate.

past few years

It was less than two years ago that LSU completed the best season in college football history. O has blown it since then, but the drama queens acting like its been years and years of horrible coaching need to come to their senses.

It's pretty easy to tell who on this board pays or donates to TAF

I was one of the original members, their idiocy with money and heavy handed ways drove me out, in the TAF your "fanship" level is directly correlated to how much you are willing to shell out, and it's never enough

I can guarantee you the big donors are the ones that have agreed to make these moves. Its their money. They have a say it how its spent. If their okay with it, or are the ones making the suggestions, then why do you care that the money is being "pissed away".

Furthermore, if we are spending said money to make our programs better, the money isn't being pissed away. Viewing it as such is short-sighted.

the general TAF fund isn't paying for all of that, a group of willing boosters are. And if they want to pony up the money for buyouts, I couldn't care less how they choose to spend their money

I would think you would want Scott dealing up the funds instead of Aleva.

I am sure the $100 you sent went to pay for a staff lunch. You can sleep well at night knowing that.

They are. A good portion of which are part of TAF, but the money is separate from their official TAF donations.

Why can't you write off your donation?

SW got donations/pledges of $34 million to make all this happen now. Your $100 a year isn't paying buyouts.

Cause he doesn’t donate enough that itemizing makes sense and takes the standard deduction which is more than his itemization.
