Am I the only one that doesn't really care for the LED lights?

Do we really need to just copy cat off of Tennessee and Bama? All of these old stadiums are slowly morphing into these ugly, SoFi like, modernist stadiums that all look the same and have similar perks. It isn't new or interesting at all. Would rather stay as close as possible to the barebones historic nature of Death Valley - not turning it into some corporate light show. It's honestly so gimmicky and fake - almost like "hey look at this! are you entertained now fans?" Ew.

Edit: In before "yes, you are the only one"

I don’t love em. I don’t hate em. Don’t think they are necessary though.

You will catch a lot of downvotes for this though.

Are we doing this again? Because I feel like we just did this.

I'd rather them put in large, functional bathrooms, seatbacks in the entire stadium, and improve concessions by letting outside vendors bid for concession space (aka peeling away from Aramark contract).

Most of the players like the LEDs. They are the most important to please. There's no negative to getting them so why not.

I'm not mad that we don't have them and don't know that it would be a priority for me for spending, but I bet it would be pretty bad arse in TS.

I bet they don’t actually care that much.

I couldn't care less about the LED lights but if they need to install them and have a light show to help recruiting I'm all for it. The kids seem to like it at the other stadiums.

This x 1000. There are a lot of basic amenity upgrades that need to happen way before they put in strobe lights.

No recruit is going to pick Tennessee over LSU because of the LED lights lol. If that's actually the reason for installing them, then I don't want those players on our team.

Says who? There are no kids choosing Knoxville over Baton Rouge bc of a 4th qtr light show.

Do you think they are the only stadiums that have LED lights? It's been a thing at lots of stadiums for a while now.

That being said, I'm indifferent. Don't really care either way.

I don’t think we need to put them until it’s time to change lights.

I didn't say it was changing recruits' minds dummy but if they like them, which they do, what harm is there in getting them? Does it affect you negatively if they get LEDs?

Yes. It affects me negatively. That’s why I made the post. They are modernist and sort of ugly. This isn’t some corporate tech concert

I dont think LSU is the type of school that should copy what other schools do. Bama copied our locker room and then UGA's LEDs. LSU is LSU. We set trends, we don't follow them.

I like the way they look. The light gets more focused on the field. I don't care either way about the color changing and flashing.

We should come up with something else.
