Wonder if we’ll see a spike of folks giving $$$ to LSU this year....hopefully the university can become more independent of state budgets (and hopefully the donations actually go to the school, not TAF).

Who else cut an extra check after the natty?.

So sorry that you’re paying out of state tuition for a school you decided to attend despite said tuition.

Lazy River at LSU was paid for solely by students.

Was paid for by a fee on tuition that was paid by their parents. Or by TOPS AKA LA taxpayers.

LSU is not dependent on state tax dollars. The percentage the state provides has been dwindling for the past decade. I know Jindal receives a tremendous amount of support on here but he did a number on LSU with budget cuts. Look at how much it has regressed over the years.

I have donated a small amount to the alumni for a good while since graduation but the alumni arse. does not have or did not have a way to credit my donation on my TAF account.

I donated via fee increases for years while squeezing a four year degree into five years.

I was waiting for F King and Alleva to get the boot. Made a donation to the alumni association, and a donation to the TAF football excellence fund in December.

It is a fact that philanthropic giving to LSU increases after a national championship.

This is because donors give to institutions and causes that inspire them.

This is why athletics is particularly important to LSU, and all people employed by or associated with LSU should realize that.
