The comparison to the 2005 USC team is certainly no means of underrating LSU, rather it's taking a shot at the treatment Texas got leading up to that game in which ESPN pretty much ignored Texas' accomplishments. I think most Texas fans feel ESPN's coverage the last few games have focused on Mike Leake and LSU, hence the comparison.

get all that but texas fans know that LSU is deserving of the hype w/ the way they're playing now, while texas is scraping by. And Texas doesn't have anyone on offense close to VY

LSU certainly has played great, nobody's trying to take that way. Comparing LSU to USC in '05 has nothing to do with LSU and everything to do with ESPN.

When you score 32 runs in 3 games without committing an error at The College World Series you have earned some recognition.For what its worth LSU was not getting as much attention as Texas at the start of the CWS.

i dont think you get it nolahorn. we are more confident about this series than probably any other series we've ever played. i said this already and i'll say it again, if texas was playing as good as LSU and LSU was playing like texas is, i'd be scared for my tigers. LSU is just playing perfect baseball right now.

LSU has dominated all three of its opponents, and put the last 2 games out of reach by the final 3 innings.
Texas won two one run games, and won its other game against a team handicapped by playing with its hands wrapped around its neck.
I don't know where ESPN's announcers would have had the time or rationale to imply that LSU was better.

I would classify anyone that thinks the President "destroyed" the economy, regardless of who or what party the POTUS is from, as not particularly bright.

Exactly, I also love how LSU fans that gripe anytime ESPN says something positive about some other team (USC, Texas, Ohio State etc) Justifying ESPN's praise of LSU baseball.

Also when you play Arkansas twice compared to playing a top 5 national seed twice. It will be a great series no doubting that.
