Basketball should clean house, both houses. We do have some talent even without Ben. I think AB will get to the point he will take over games and become a leader.

No hate for JJ, he just isn't the coach for LSU.

Nikki... Woman's BB is a dumpster fire, comparable to Aggie football.

Until Alleva is replaced, LSU sports will continue to struggle.

All she needs to do is be carried off on her players shoulders and she will be fine.

The proverbial insides sources are saying that Alleva/LSU does not want to pay her buyout $$$$, similar situation to CLM's: bad PR at this particular time. When her contract runs out, it will not be extended unless she wins big.

it really doesn't take insiders to fill in the blanks. Where Alleva messed up is giving her such a ridiculous contract

Alleva sucks as an AD. the man can't execute a firing properly. He is a big fat mess. He tried to hamstring Miles forcing the steele shite and then when he is going to fire him he lets out leaks like a fricking rookie clown. His hires have been down right failures outside of BT in softball.
Any ranter could come in and guide LSU athletics to a good profit margin when football and the sec network pour in money.

Expect Jones to be back as well. I'm not sure alleva actually has the balls to fire a coach.

He tried last November and failed.

Dale and CT would embarrass joe worse than what happened in nov. if he tries to take their boy down. They bent him over the coals to get Jones so no way they let him go without a fight.

Her initial contract was set to expire in 2016. Was she extended at some point?

Nikkei is the closest thing to the death penalty for the women's basketball program.

WOW! Simply amazing what people come up with. This lady has shown that she is a superior X's and O's coach. Among the best. Before this year, had our men's team done what she has done and with a type coach these imbeciles desire, they would be cheering the success and trajectory of the program.

If I am the AD, I see that I have a coach who demands her players adhere to a standard of behavior, holds them accountable regardless of talent, is great at motivating her team and is among the best in the nation as a bench coach. A coach who could be a great face to the program. She is gorgeous and a married heterosexual (no hanky panky with her players). That is a great start in creating a dominating program. You are already most of the way there with those great building blocks.

Rather than follow the logic of the Rant fools, I would discuss these positives with her and and tell her she needs to immediately hire a great recruiter to head up her recruiting. It is the only thing missing. I would feel the positives greatly outweigh the negatives of lack of superior recruiting, which is correctable by the proper coaching personnel added to the staff. I'd find out who the top 5-10 women's recruiting assistance coaches are and go out and hire one of them. That is how you build a dominating program. If these fools were in charge, Pat Summit would have never lasted at Tennessee. Or Dean Smith at NC. Or Coach K at Duke. They'd be starting a lynch mob to fire each because of their teams' records in the first few years at the schools. A great AD. determines the strength and weaknesses of his coaches and goes about fixing the weaknesses.

Nikki Farga, with a great recruiter on staff, would wreck havoc on women college basketball. If I am AD, I see that as a positive for the program. Something that can be easily fixed with the right assistant coach. That is the attribute of a great AD, but not of the many infantile fools who populate this site.

What?

LSU finished 3rd in the SEC in men's basketball last season. The women finished 6th

2010 21-10, 9-7, 3rd
2011 under Van: 19-13; 8-8 5th

2012: 23-11; 10-6 4th place
2013: 22-12; 10-6 6th
2014: 21-13; 7-9 6th
2015: 17-14; 10-6 4th

What upwards trajectory?

NCAA tourney results mister. Had LSU men reached the NCAA tourney 4 out of 5 years and reached the sweet 16 twice, the 2nd round once and was never one and out, there would be partying in the streets!
