Yep...and they'll all disappear in a week when we win a big series and start getting healthy again.

we have 12 injured players...
Who's the LSU Baseball strength and conditioning coach? (Probably another one of Marmalade's X-Players or BBQ Buddies.

No LSU team that gets 2 hit by a SWAC school and can't beat one of the fine Junior Colleges in Louisiana is worthy of my support.
I don't care what they do the rest of the regular season, SEC Tourney, Regional or SR, I'm done until MILESAINIERI and his BBQ Buds are done.
Time for fresh new blood in here that's not complacent and just drawing a big pay check.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know. We'll be Fine because That's LSU Baseball and there's always next week, month and year, just wait and see.

All of this stuff being said on the board was said after the Texas series and we did well in the first 4 conference series. Very disappointing at Mizzou, but let's see how it plays out before giving up IMO.

Yep. I'm not a big injury excuse/reason kind of guy. Other guys need to step up. It's gonna be interesting to see if Reid and Watson can play and if they can't who may breakout in their absence. That's where that highly ranked recruiting class needs to come into play.

We have one guy batting over 300

I'm usually a CPM Defender but I have to admit, they look behind schedule on their yearly late-season ramp up. Usually by this time in the season we start to see signs of the team pulling it together.
CPMs teams seem to always start slow and get better as the season goes on and then they are usually playing their best baseball come tournament time. I've been watching his team's long enough to know that this is his MO. So I usually don't panic at this point in the season.
This year looks like it's going to turn out more like last year where the team kind of bumbled around all season and never really flipped the switch. Not saying that will happen but I'm definitely not seeing any signs of it not happening, which you usually would by this time.
More surprising and discouraging is that, last year was kind of expected but this year, with all the incoming talent, to still be playing like they were last year is extremely disappointing. To me, that tells me that it's coaching and not 'that's just baseball'.

Understood. What would be a normal amount of .300 hitters on a solid team?

A preseason ranking based on the returning talent and the incoming recruiting class.

Really good question.
Preseason #1 to this.
Embarrassing actually.

Mathis is throwing out 14% of runners and batting 100 and no one else is either available or they haven’t gotten an opportunity

I mean, like I said, I'm a CPM defender but to be fair, I think they got PS #1 because of the name on the jersey and recruiting, which apparently CPM has and wants little to do with, which is why he keeps Ochinko on when LSU badly needs a hitting coach.

UL has lost left fielder Gavin Bourgeois, third baseman Jonathan Windham and pitcher Austin Bradford all to season-ending injuries.
Regulars Handsome Monica, Daniel Lahare and Hunter Kasuls all have been out at various times; reserve catcher Sebastian Toro still is out; and would-be Friday night starter Gunner Leger is now working out of the bullpen because of injury, too.
Getting beat by out 2nd stringers....

Only 34 steals on the season, out of 50. Worst percentage of the sec. thought Duplantis, Smith, DiGiacomo, Watson, Broussard, Hughes we’re suppose to be fast

Is it that high? If feels like he's thrown out two or three runners all year.
At this point, if I see a narrow hip sub 200 standing on first with second open, I just assume he's already on 2nd.
