Understood. What would be a normal amount of .300 hitters on a solid team?

Top five should be flirting with that number if not above it.

Mathis is throwing out 14% of runners and batting 100 and no one else is either available or they haven’t gotten an opportunity

So you are admitting you don’t follow LSU except to shite on the players?

Now is probably not the best time to be defending the product on the field.

Hopefully they can turn it around like they usually do but it's not looking good, unfortunately.

Last night it was reported that there was 11. I guess someone fell brushing their teeth. It’s an epidemic

How did you get to that? I’m tired of watching him continue to struggle. I’m usually a sunshine pumper but it’s getting out of hand. Garza and Willis came here to be catchers. Are they not healthy?

Or if Garza and Willis aren’t better than Mathis then why did we recruit catchers who can’t catch cause that’s all Mathis is doing successful

No, they are not

Garza’s rehab hasn’t gone as quickly as expected
Willis is still recovering from a preseason surgery as well

Mathis is 3rd string & wasn’t expected to get much time this season

The other catcher is Doughty who handles bullpen catching & has relieved Mathis a handful of times if that

No fans want to mention that little aspect, PM got them to #1

The LSU on their chest got them to number 1.

I’m ready for doughty. Mathis has 66 steal attempts against( leads SEC). Next closest in the SEC is 39.

I’m not sure Willis was recruited to be a catcher
He has a lot of talent elsewhere

Garza:
Selected in the 31st round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals … batted .378 in 2018 with 52 hits and 23 home runs at Howard Junior College, and was selected to the NJCAA Division I All-Region Team

Garza has been behind the plate maybe twice this season so we can’t judge his catching abilities

His batting leaves a lot to be desired but again, he’s not 100% yet

#5 in Louisiana:
Northwestern State, McNeese, Southern, ULaLa. UNO and La. Tech still to go--could be #7!
