This is your opinion, and I don’t think Jackson would make the list.

Ha! Slow your roll. All American every year he played. SEC player of the year every year he played. Averaged 29+!points per game. You can dislike his politics for refusing to stand during the National Anthem, but he was a legend at LSU.

Not once did I mention politics or what he did, that’s 100% on you. Saying “every year he played” makes it seem like he was a 4 year player, he was there for 2 years...

I think there’s a very strong argument for CJ but what Johnny Neumann did 40.1ppg, 6.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists with no 3 point line to me just can’t be ignored and slightly edges my beloved CJ.

Would have 3 LSU Tigers
Maravich - PG LSU
Shaq - C LSU
Chris Jackson - Shooting Guard LSU
Charles Barkley F. Auburn
Bernard King F Tennessee
60% of team LSU players. Pretty damn impressive.

He's naming the top 5 SEC players while in college. Anthony Davis and all of the one and done's do not even make the top 15 list provided. It makes perfect sense.
Shaq was the most dominate player in SEC history. He was double/triple teamed constantly. "Hack a Shaq" was invented to try and limit him and keep him out of the the end of games. Chris Jackson was the best SEC Player I have ever seen and Pete owns every SEC Stat however I never saw him play. I think a real argument could be made for Mash, he was a great player and Bernard was before my time. Barkley was an absolute stud.
List is legit.

Anthony Davis is for sure one of the top 5 players in SEC history. He was nearly the unanimous player of the year nationally and won the national title in his single season. Shaq and Pete Maravich are pretty safely in the top 5 as well. The 4th and 5th spots are extremely debatable.

Just because Kentucky clearly has the best program, doesn’t automatically mean they have a player on the starting 5

You can’t eliminate one and dones but still have guys who left after their soph year or junior years. Leaving early used to be seen the same as the one and done situation so the only difference is opinion and cultural reaction. Davis was the national player of the year and national champion, how many of these guys you’re putting before him can say that? It’s not fair to disqualify a player based on personal bias.

Your point is correct but they do have one who belongs.

14 ppg?

Sure. Which Kentucky players would you put in and who would you remove?
If we are just going by college career, Jack Givens ahead of Charles Barkley, no?

Did I say I did? Your assumption I suppose. What difference does it make. It’s for arguments sake anyway. Not some sort of contest.

That's absurd to knock Pistol Pete b/c he wasn't "enough of a winner." He was a 1 man show at LSU. Best shooting guard in the history of college basketball. He would be #1 on any list. WTF?

that is not even close to the best winning team. That might be the most entertaining. Pete was great but I'm not convinced he's enough of a winner.
WTF does that even mean?

Leaving one and dones off is ignorant and if you’re going to do that you might as well leave every player who didn’t play 4 years off including Wilkins, Barkley , Shaq and Maravich.
Maravich played three years instead of four because freshmen did not play varsity ball when he attended LSU. When Pistol Pete was a freshman, it wasn't uncommon for freshman basketball games to have a bigger crowd than the varsity team just so people could see him play. Anyway, Maravich stay on the list regardless of anything else.
I think Shaq is legit on the list as well, but like has been said already, Dominique Wilkins should DEFINITELY be included on this list, as well as possibly Jamal Mashburn.

King was three time SEC POY (Maravich is the only other player who can say that). He averaged 25 ppg and 13 rpg for 3 years.
Davis had a great season, but his numbers weren’t close to King’s 14/10). You can debate others, but King is on the list

I would say only 2 LSU players on that list would be Shaq and Pistol Pete
